Hello...............!

-Dan's POV-

I sit forward taken aback by what the officer said. "You saw the body! You saw the look on his face! Terror! Fear! Shock!" My mind becomes extremely clouded. The room started spinning. "Daniel I only asked to see your reaction, you and your friends are our main suspects so far, I do hope you realise that," I began breathing heavily.

I didn't want to go to jail! I hadn't done anything wrong! I closed my eyes and put my head in my hands. Tears brimmed my eyes to fast to blink away. They came down in tsunamis. A hand was set on my back, I knew it was the officers. "Leave me alone!" I scream with out realising what I was doing. "Daniel please calm down, you're only making it worse for yourself," I didn't care. I don't want to care!

"My best friend died, and you think I killed him? You think Phil killed him? You think Xavier killed him? You think Jerome killed him? Well you know what? Jerome was closer to Mitch then anyone! Ever! Jerome knows every detail about Mitch! He knows things I could only dream of knowing!"

-Time skip-

I sit quietly in Phil's car, playing with the sleeve of my hoodie, "I'm sorry I let you go in there.." Phil says breaking the odd silence, "It's not your fault, I would've gone in there anyway..." I look over to him then back down to my sleeves, I pull them up to my finger tips and stare out the window. The drive to Phil's place was quiet and slightly unnerving.

-Jerome's POV-

"Thank you Jerome for offering to finish off Daniel's questions, but I have some different ones for you," She fiddled with a note pad looking up once or twice, I nod and lean towards the table putting my elbows down.

"So to start off, how long have you known Mitch?" I grin and lean back, "Since we were eight years old." I don't  want to be here long so I'll keep the answers short, "What sort of relationship are you boys in?" I take a short breath, "It's complicated.."  I look down into my lap and back up at the officer who was staring at me, "How is it complicated?"

I shift uneasily in my chair, "When we were younger Mitch and I were more then friends, he moved when we were Nine and he came back two weeks ago," The officer put her pen down, "You mean to tell me You and Mitch were boyfriends and he came back two weeks ago?" I nod, Yes idiot I said that!

The officer gestured for me to continue, "When he came back he went to Dan and Xavier's group, I guessed he didn't recognise me, but when I was in the meadow a while ago, he came in and saw me, I left without saying anything... And on Friday I told him I still liked him and kissed him... That was the last I'd heard from him.." The officer was writing furiously. "Thank you Jerome you can go now," I nod and get up.

I walk across the room and out the door.  I walk out to the waiting room and see Xavier, "Hey," I say slowing to a stop, "Hey, need a ride home?" I nod "Yeah," I say with a slight grin, "Want to take a pitstop at my place?" He smiles slightly, I was about to decline, "C'mon Jerome I insist, it's my way of saying sorry," I sigh, "Fine, does this mean I owe you," I say following him to the door, "Hmm maybe. I'll think about it," I laugh slightly.

-Time Skip-

"Do you have COD by any chance?" I ask Xavier crunching on a chip, "What teenage boy doesn't?" He says before getting up off of his bed and walking towards a bookshelf full of video games and books. I smile and give off a noise of half a chuckle and half a disgusted laugh. He walks over to his flat screen TV and kneels down in front of his Xbox before putting in the disc. "So are you looking forward to getting your ass whooped?" He says with all the asshole-ynees as he can give off. I laugh sarcastically, "Boy I'll three sixty no scope your lame ass," He passes ,e a controller and bursts out laughing which I follow.
