Name: Ezra (originally it was Astor but I already made an oc named Aster- so I decided to change it up but keep it fancy)

How they became immortal: [an imbalance of life and death happened which caused the death experience to 'malfunction' in a way and would lead him to becoming immortal.]

Personality: [Since the life and death imbalance was messed with, his body doesn't exactly react normally that a normal human does, so instead of expressing normal emotions, he doesn't exactly show emotions much and mostly has an emotionless face that could mostly look angry at times. Despite this emotionless and angry-ish look on his face, Ezra can actually be pretty nice and would be willing to help out someone if they need it, but if he believes that you don't deserve help because you're bad in his eyes, he will quite literally leave you alone to defend for yourself. Though not being able to express how he really feels often, there is rare occasions where he would show actual emotion, but these rare occasions really only happen when he connects with someone who is also immortal and is able to be by his side..but since he is usually at earth most of the time, he doesn't exactly meet anybody else who is immortal like him, so these rare occasions really only happen if he is able to somehow connect with someone in heaven or hell- which doesn't exactly happen often or at all. Ezra would try and imitate human emotions to seem more approachable, but whatever he does, whatever emotions he tries to force himself to express, it just looks fake and un genuine, and once again, the only time it would actually be genuine and his face would actually show emotion, is when he's with someone who is immortal like him and he is able to connect with) - (note: he is not emotionless, he just isn't exactly able to express his emotions very good- like he could be happy but his face would say otherwise because it still looks emotionless and sort of angry-)

Likes: reading(it's mostly old books he reads- but often read new ones as well), exploring old and new cities on earth, fancy styled clothing, responsibility, listening in on conversations, beautiful surroundings, smelling foods and desserts, drinking wine, and collecting things from over the years.

Dislikes: trying to eat or sleep(really can't eat food or sleep- his body doesn't let him due to being immortal), being unprepared during a job, loud type of music, not being able to control his emotions, not being able to understand stuff, dark and creepy surroundings, and long silence(he really needs some sort of conversation to get through the day).

Backstory(small backstory): [In 1830, Ezra was dealing with a terrible sickness and was said to die pretty soon..which, it did happen rather quickly...but, while in the state of dying and moving on to heaven or hell(as in his heart did stop but haven't gone yet), something seemed to happen between life and death that prevented him from going to heaven or hell..so instead of his soul leaving elsewhere, his soul continued to live on in his body, making him immortal. At first he didn't believe it at first, but after not being able to eat or sleep for an extremely long time and not getting any signs of dying or his body falling apart, he knew for sure that he was immortal now...and since he knew how people would react to someone coming back from the dead and being immortal, he decided to leave his original town and would end up living in a very quiet place with no civilization..and since he didn't need to eat or sleep, he didn't exactly need to bring much expect. It would be until the 1900's that Ezra would discover that he had abilities such as opening portals to heaven and hell and being able to change into a sinner or an Angel, since he didn't want anybody to deal with immortality like he did..he decided to make sure that demons and angels were not allowed to go where they weren't supposed to that could possibly mess with life and death.]
