Things had been going okay with Jim and Sam. They hadn't really talked to each other in a while. Naomi had tried to break the silence, but to no avail.

"What should we do today?" Naomi asked, trying to lighten the mood. Those two were seriously grumpy.

"I don't care." They both grumbled, shoving cereal into their mouths.

"I have to go to the academy for a while." Jim said, finishing his breakfast. "See you later."

Both him and Naomi kissed before Jim left. Sam and Naomi awkwardly sat together in the living room, fidgeting with their thumbs.

"How long have you known Jim?" Sam asked, breaking the silence.

"About four or five months. I can't even remember. There's been so much." Naomi muttered, smiling and shaking her head. "He's gotten hurt so many times."

"I've heard. Why did he want to find me anyway?" Sam asked, looking into Naomi's eyes. He looked a lot like Jim, similar eyes, hair, the way he sits, his smile. It all looked like Jim.

"He thought he might be killed. He wanted to find you I guess." Naomi answered, looking awkwardly around the room.

"Yeah. Maybe." Sam muttered, looking away. "Want to watch a movie?" He asked. Naomi nodded and laid down on the couch she was on. Anything to get away from the awkward silence.

Jim came home about four hours later. Naomi was asleep on the couch, she was still tired from all the days of sleep she missed. Sam was half asleep watching an old Avengers movie.

Jim kissed Naomi's forehead before laying on the floor by the couch. He started to watch the movie, it wasn't like he hadn't seen it before. Naomi slowly began to stir until she rolled of the couch onto Jim, who had actually fallen asleep.

"I'm sorry." She said, laughing as she rolled off of him.

"It's alright, brings back memories of when your family was here." Jim whispered, laughing. He kissed her as she was laying beside him. Maybe things would turn out alright after all.
