After somehow being able to eat that sandwich without throwing up, you sat up in bed,not being able to sleep because it felt like you were melting in the room.
You had finished off all of the liquid in your water bottle about an hour ago, from what you could tell at least.
You could feel yourself sweating and the worst part was that you were handcuffed so you couldn't wipe it away with your shirt.
"Oh my god, I'm freaking dying" you whined, because you hated the feeling of sweat.
You heard the door creak open, and you stared at it in surprise.
When Kaneki came down the stairs and saw you awake,he also had a look of shock on his face.
"What are you doing awake at this time, you usually aren't" he said
"Well it was hotter than a damned sauna in here- HEY WAIT A MINUTE! what the hell did you mean 'USUALLY'. DO YOU WATCH ME SLEEP!?!?PERVERT!" You yelled at him, while attempting to throw your now empty water bottle at his forehead.
He easily dodged it.
"Why are you so surprised, didn't you catch me watching you sleep a few days ago? At least when your sleeping your quiet, sheesh." He said calmly while stretching.
Your cheeks turned red from anger.
"Aww,is someone blushing?" Kaneki teased, and you sent him a deadly glare.
If only looks could kill.
"Anyways, since your complaining about 'melting'," he said the last word, laced with sharp sarcasm " I'll be right back"
He got up from the chair he conveniently placed directly near your bed, and walked to your 'room' door.
He left the door open enough where you could tell that there was no light in the hallway, and given the amount of windows you saw during your trip to the shower, it was safe to assume that it was night time.
Unless of course he got black curtains for them or something, but you doubted that, because you would've at least heard some noise if he was installing curtains in windows that he'd surely need a ladder to reach.
You heard what you assumed was an air conditioning system cut on, and instantly send a wave of cool air into the cramped space that you'd been in for the past few days.
As Kaneki walked back into the room, you breathed out a sigh of relief from the heat.
Buy your relief was short lived, because within a few minutes of the air conditioner being on, you were freezing cold.
You began to shiver, and your teeth began to chatter, causing you to stutter as you talked.
"K-Kaneki could yo-you maybe p-p-put the ac at a t-temperature that I-I c-could actua-l-ly survive in" you said while trying to use the thin blanket to cover yourself for more warmth.
"Picky girl. First it's too hot, then it's too cold. There's just no satisfying you is there? You can choose, do you want the room hot or cold" he questioned you, seemingly unaffected by the rooms steadily dropping temperature.
You glared at him. "W-what the H-hell kind of c-choices are T-those!"
He just gave you an annoyed look before getting up from his chair and laying down on the bed next to you.
He attempted to wrap his arms around you but you stopped him.
"W-what the h-heck do you t-think your d-doing! Y-you perv!"
He just glared at you. " you said you were cold! So I was obviously trying to share my body heat to warm you up!" He said in a slightly annoyed tone, before wrapping his arms around you tightly.
You blushed but you eventually, after convincing yourself that he wasn't trying to eat you, wrapped your arms around him as well.
He might've kidnapped you, but you realized that he was the first one in a long time to come close to putting a dent in that shell you put around yourself.
And even though you knew it was stupid, you couldn't help but feel safe in his arms.
You sighed, a bright blush profound on your cheeks, as you could feel his breath on your shoulder.
And then you fell into a peaceful slumber, forgetting about the whole kidnapping thing.
