Chapter 27

So, this will be my first ever time writing a chapter on my laptop, I usually just use my phone (which is why my grammar always seems so horrible) so yeah. The song below reminds me of the relationship between you and Uta and i think it would set the mood if you listened while reading, I love that song so much.and before all the fangirls freak out, Uta is just a love intrest, don't forget this is a Kaneki x reader story, I might make uta a separate ending though cause I love him so much, but because I want to know if you want me to cause I don't wanna waste time writing things I don't have to, please let me know asap wether or not I should make another ending for uta.

You sat on the bathroom counter, listening to kaede play in the water, and staring into space, deep in thought.

After you had let Uta in, you went and told Kaneki that he was here, and Kaneki immediately handed off the remainder of Kaede's bathing time over to you, which quite frankly you didn't mind. You were always happy to spend time with your son, even if he had only been seen as such for a few days.

Besides, you'd much rather make bubble beards than sit there and listen to important information that could get you kidnapped. Kaede looked absolutely adorable as he played in the bath, and you couldn't have been more happy in the moment.

Well at least that's what you tried to force yourself to feel, seeing uta brought back lots of memories, memories that you didn't want to remember. Unfortunately though, you had seen his newest tattoo on the side of his neck.

"Nec possum tecum vivere nec sine te."

"I can neither live with - nor without you.'

You remembered those words. Those words that you never wanted to see or hear again in your life. The words that you wish didn't mean anything at all to you, because the you wouldn't feel like crying right now. The last words he said to you before walking away forever.

Those words... you hated them. 

At one point it was his favorite quote. Hell, it probrably still was. sometimes at night you two would cuddle at your house by the fireplace and he'd read the same book over and over again. The book looked old, and worn down, and had several coffe stains on it, but he'd read the latin words to you nearly everyday, you not understanding anything he was saying, but loving to hear his voice everyday.

"I can neither live with - nor without you"

You'd felt so betrayed that day, so hurt, so....lost.

He had left you there, in the snow, waiting for him to come back like he said he would, you wated for hours. You waited so long that you passed out and ended up at the hospital with mild frostbit. At first you were scared, you thought that he had been killed by the CCg, or some rouge ghoul kidnapped him or something, but then one day as you commenced your searching you saw him with another girl, laughing and smiling and drinking coffee.

You told your self you'd never trust another guy again, ironic that you ended up trusting and falling for the one person you really shouldn't have, your kidnapper.

Uta was your first love, and you hated yourself for it.

You now had a child, an amazing boyfriend, a beautiful life, except for the part where your always being kidnapped.

you loved your life, but...

you still loved him.
