Noise.
Or more accurately, screams were what you heard when you woke up.
You looked next to you to see Kaede soundly sleeping, and slightly snoring.
You pulled the blankets over his frail body, and then got off of the bed, hissing slightly as your bare feet made contact with the cold floor.
Silently and slowly you wandered closer to the door, hoping to overhear a snippet of conversation, just a small piece of information.
Anything that could possibly help you escape, you wanted to know.
".........Lockdown now!" Was the beginning of the sentence you heard.
"What's going on!?!" Another, more youthful voice questioned loudly
"A high level ghoul from the run down anteiku shop came to ambush us" the first guy answered before you hear his and the other guys vheavy footfalls along the pavement.
"Anteiku..." You mumbled softly to yourself.
Wasn't that the coffee shop Kaneki told you he used to work at awhile ago...
Your eyes widened.
Kaneki had come to get you.
You ran to the bed and gently shook Kaede awake.
As he yawned and rubbed his eyes you couldn't help but fangirl internally.
Shaking your head you removed all of your fangirling thoughts.
This was no time for fangirling this was war.
"Mommy? What is it" Kaede asked quietly
"It's time for us to get out of here sweetie" you said before the door burst open to reveal the one and only Kaneki Ken in all of his (yandere) overprotective glory.
