The next few moments of silence were never broken.
You simply turned and picked up Kaede who was shaking from the cold.
You cradled him in your arms, as Kaneki came up and lifted you both into his arms and began the journey home.
When you finally got to the familiar house, you got out of Kaneki's arms and turned to him.
"Can you help me get him dressed?" You asked Kaneki.
"Of course, I think I have some clothes that might fit him in the back of my closet somewhere." He said as he lifted Kaede from your arms.
"Daddy" Kaede mumbled quietly " thank you for saving me" the small boy then decided to wrap his arms around Kaneki's neck, in the best kind of hug he could give at the moment, considering he was freezing and in kaneki's arms.
"No problem kiddo, I wouldn't just let you die" Kaneki said back to the child, a small smile on his face, before he Ruffled Kaede's hair.
You sat there silently fangirling as you watched the two most important boys in your life interact with each other, they were absolutely adorable.
"I'll be right back, I'm gonna go get the bath water ready" you said while walking away to the bathroom.
As you made Kaede his bath water you made sure to add soap to the water because you remembered how much you loved bubble baths as a kid.
You then went and called Kaneki to bring Kaede so he could bathe, you then left the two boys in the bathroom so that you could go and make some food, for Kaede and you cause you were both starving.
Suddenly though there was a knock on the door.
You were surprised but decided to open it, since you figured it could be a person who was lost or something.
But the person you saw at the door nearly made you die of shock.
'There's never and end to this madness' you thought to yourself.
