It's been three weeks since the first day of school and Cameron already has a girlfriend. He asked the head cheerleader, Brooke Evans, to go out on a date with him and she accepted. They've been out on three dates, I think.

On the second date, I heard them out on his balcony and when I looked, I saw them making out. The next day, they're dating. Brooke is your stereotypical head cheerleader: blonde hair, perfect clear skin, blue eyes, skinny, and she's about an inch shorter than me.

She always looks perfect and she is now sitting at our table, because Cameron thought it would be nice if his stupid girlfriend sat with us (he didn't use the word stupid, I did. In my head of course).

"So, Anna, do you have any classes your struggling with? Cause I could help you out." Brooke said, pulling me out of my thoughts. Oh yeah. She's also really smart.

"Um, no. Thanks, Brooke." I said, stabbing my fork into my salad. My mom said that if I didn't eat this, she would take away all my technology. I couldn't let that happen.

"Really? Because Cameron was saying that you had a little trouble in English. I'm really good at that, so-" I cut her off.

"Brooke, I don't need help. And Cameron should learn how to keep his mouth shut about certain personal stuff." I snapped, glaring over at Cameron. He looked up from his phone with a confused look on his face. I raised my eyebrows at him before standing. "I'm gonna go to class. See you guys later."

I was mainly talking to Lisa, Bella, and Jack, but of course Brooke had to say 'bye' back to me.

I rolled my eyes and threw away my trash as I walked out of the cafeteria. I reached behind me to get my water out of my backpack, turning my torso as I did. Suddenly, I ran into someone and ended up on my butt on the floor.

"Oh my God. I'm so sorry!" I heard a familiar voice say. I pushed my hair out of my face and I made eye contact with some bright blue eyes.

"It-it's fine." I said, accepting the hand he held out for me.

"Really? Cause you fell pretty hard." he said. I shook my head, and opened my water bottle.

"Are you... Nash Grier?" I asked. My vision was kind of blurry at the moment so I could really only see his eyes.

"Um, yeah. Just don't tell anybody." he said quietly. I took a sip of my water.

"I won't. I promise. I've already met Cameron and I didn't have a big fangirl moment. Just don't let anybody else see you here." I said, closing my water bottle and putting it back in the pocket it was in.

He laughed a little and ran his hand through his short hair. (A/N: I'm making Nash have his short hair in this because he looked better, in my opinion. He has his all brown hair, not with the little blonde streak.)

"Where is Cameron?" he asked, looking around. I smiled, running a hand through my hair.

"He's in the cafeteria. It's still lunchtime, I just wanted to get to my next class early." I replied. He nodded.

"What's your name?" he asked. I arched an eyebrow at him.

"Anna. Anna Booths." I said, extending a hand. He shook it.

"I would say my name but you already know that." he said, smiling at me. I felt myself blush a little as we let go of each other's hands.

"Why are you here? I thought you lived in North Carolina." I said, creasing my eyebrows together.

"I came here because my family is actually moving here. For about three years, for my dad's job." he explained. I nodded my head.

"So you're going to go here?" I asked, pointing at him.

He nodded his head as I heard my name yelled behind me. I turned around and saw Bella. She looked past me and her jaw dropped open. Bella raced to me, basically crashing into me.

"Oh my God. Anna, this... that's... you..." she breathed, looking back and forth between me and Nash. I laughed and gripped her shoulders, shaking her.

"I know. He's moving here and going to this school." I said. Her eyes widened and looked over at him. He waved slightly at her. She nearly fainted, making me laugh harder.

"I'm Bella Masters. Pleasure to meet you." she said, beaming at Nash. Nash laughed a little and nodded his head a little.

"Hi, Bella." he replied.

"Nash?" I heard Cameron call from behind. I rolled my eyes as I heard his footsteps approach us.

"Hey, Cam!" Nash exclaimed, bro hugging him. I never actually noticed it, but Nash is about four inches taller than Cameron.

"What are you doing here?" Cameron asked, releasing from their hug.

"I'm moving here, and going to school here." Nash explained. It seemed like he was doing that a lot lately.

"That's awesome!" Cameron exclaimed.

"Cam, who's your friend?" Brooke asked, placing a small hand on Cameron's shoulder. I rolled my eyes and sighed, leaning against the beige wall.

"This is my best friend, Nash. Nash, this is my girlfriend, Brooke." Cameron said. Nash slightly waved at Brooke.

"Babe, I'm going to be late for practice. I'll see you in eighth." Brooke said, kissing Cameron's cheek. He turned his head, and looked down at her.

"What? No lip kiss?" he asked, smirking.

Brooke smiled and then kissed him, on the mouth. I gagged, making Nash and Bella both laugh. Brooke and Cam broke from their kiss and she turned on her heel and headed towards the gymnasium.

"Do y'all do that a lot?" Nash asked.

"A heck of a lot." I blurted out. Cameron looked over at me, and I looked at my feet.

"Nash, why don't I show you around?" Cameron offered. They headed off and Bella turned to me.

"What was that about?" she asked.

"What?"

"You know, the snapping and glaring at Cam." she said, crossing her arms over her chest.

"I don't know." I sighed, shrugging my shoulders.

"I think I know." she sang, twirling a piece of her hair. I

"What do you think it is?" I asked.

"Jealousy." she replied simply. I scoffed, rolling my eyes.

"I'm not jealous." I protested. She raised her eyebrows at me. "I'm not!"

"Whatever." she called, heading to her class.

"I'm not!" I yelled at her.

She waved a hand to me. Rolling my eyes, I went to my next class too. As I took my seat, I thought about it. Was I jealous of Brooke for dating Cameron?

I couldn't be, right? He's just a friend. A friend... that I want to date? No. I was not jealous and I did not like Cameron. That's two things I know for sure.
