Morning of Bull Riding Competition
Jake's Pov
I woke up early this morning with a start because of a nightmare I'm so worried about Mellie she says shes fine but I just feel like there's more behind that and shes bull riding tonight. I get out of bed and get dressed I hop in my truck and head to Mellies to help her get stuff loaded for tonight as im passing mrs lu's flower shop I stop when I see the perfect white carnations for Mellie. I think I'll wait til after to give them to her. Sometimes I wonder how come I'm so lucky I met this beautiful amazing girl. I just hope she makes it threw tonight alright.
SKIP TO MELLIES HOUSE
As I'm pulling up at Mellie's I see that shes out in the barn already getting the horse loaded. I get out of my truck and head over to mellie she looks up with a big grin and asks if I'm ready to go. I shake my head and say your something else. I hop in my truck and she gets in hers and we head out to the arena. I can't help but think of how beautiful Mellie is.
SKIP TO THE ARENA
I pull up and park right next to Mellie's truck and trailer. As I get out of my truck I can hear all the guys wolf whistle at Mellie. Which makes me a little mad but I can't blame them, after all she's drop dead gorgeous! I walk up to her and tell her to go sign in and I'll unload the horse. She says will do and walks away her hair swaying back and forth. I go to the trailer and start to unload her horse whiskey, as I'm tying whiskey to the trailer I hear someone walk up. I turn around to be greeted by my friend Luke. Hey man,who's trailer is this? Luke asks. J.R I say. He's here wear Luke asks. He's a she and she's signing up right now and will be back soon I say. Luke looks at me in shock. Really he asks. Yea I have actually been hanging out with her. Is she hot he asks. I smack him on the back of the head and say yes dummy. Just as I'm finishing my sentence she walks up not noticing Luke and hugs me. Luke looks at me in shock and he clears his throat. Mellie turns around .
MELLIES POV
After I sign up I head back to the trailer overwhelmed with the crowds. I walk straight up to Jake and give him a hug only to be snapped out of my thought by someone clearing there throat I turn around and see a tall guy with black hair looking right at me and Jake. Jake speaks up and says Luke this is J.R a.k.a mellie and mellie this is Luke my best friend. Nice to meet you I say with a simile. Likewise hey can I borrow Jake here for a minute Luke says. Yea go ahead I say as I walk into the trailer and close the door.
JAKES POV
Luke pulls me aside as mellie goes into her trailer. You have got to hook me up with her Luke says. No can do she's mine bud I tell Luke. We will see about that Luke says. I shake my head knowing he won't stop til one of us is dating her. I get the flowers I got mellie and knock on her trailer door.
MELLIES POV
Once I get in the trailer I go to the closet part and grab my jeans, western shirt,hat, and Spurs and lay them on the couch. Right as I'm laying my stuff down there's a knock at my door. I go to the door and open to be greeted by a smiling Jake. Come in, I say. Jake walks in and pulls flowers out from behind his back. There for you, Jake says. Thank you I say and give jake a hug. He hands me the flowers and I go and put them in some water.
