Laney's POV
I woke up early the next morning just to check back at Corey's house, thinking he would be back from wherever he was at. Trina answered the door, like yesterday. "We meet again, Lamey." she grumbled. I opened my mouth to speak, but Trina cut me off. "Like listen. Corey's still not here for some reason, so get rid of your face already!" she yelled, shutting the door on me, again. Trina seemed to read my mind and give me my answer, but rude much?
My feet couldn't move, and I actually had my jaw hanging open from what she said. '...Still not there?!' Something was definitely wrong. Although, Trina could have been lying. You could never trust her... I left and crossed the street over to the Kujira's place, ready to spill everything that happened out, and hoping Kin would have an answer to all this.
Kin's POV
The doorbell rang and Kon and I rushed to the door to answer it. Luckily I made it to the door first, and I gave my brother a smirk before opening the door. "Well hello Laney!" Kon suddenly cried, managing to greet her before me. He and Laney giggled at my reaction, as I was not amused.
After I made sure they finished laughing, I turned to face Laney. "What brings you here, Laney?" I asked. "Can I talk to you guys?" was her response. Kon and I looked at each other. I was actually busy at work creating a new invention, but Laney sounded urgent. 'Guess the science will have to wait.' Kon welcomed Laney into our household, and I led the two of them upstairs into my room. There we settled down for a chat. Laney explained what she had to say, and I listened to every single detail.
Laney's POV
Kin was very interested in my subject and for once, paid full attention to what I was talking about. He probably wanted to find out what was going on with Corey as well as I did. We agreed to try again at his place tomorrow, and if things ended up the same as the past two days then we would go down into investigation. Anything for the band. 'I just hope Corey's alright!'
