Laney's POV
I heard a knock at the door, but I didn't want to answer it. More knocking came, this time they sounded louder. Whoever was there certainly wouldn't leave, so I had no choice. I went and answered the door with a slouch, but perked up when I saw Corey. What!?

"Hey Lanes!" he beamed. I raised an eyebrow, confused by his behaviour. "Are you here to bring the band back together or something?" I grumbled. Corey became silent. "What do you mean?" he asked. "What do you mean you don't know?" I snapped. Corey's eyes widened in fear. My fury died down and I did the same when I realized, I just snapped at him. Something's up with this, unless he's only faking. I didn't know what to say next.

"Uhh..." was all that came out of my mouth. Corey sighed. "I have a lot of explaining to do, don't I?" he groaned. I shrugged. Honestly, I didn't know what to do now. Corey seemed to feel the same, reading his expression.

We both stood there busy with our thoughts, confused by what was happening. "Well, I think I need a day to get over this... you should maybe come back tomorrow?" I chuckled nervously. Corey smiled and nodded, then turned to leave. I closed the door and went to my room. My emotions were jumbled up again. I tried to search my mind for an answer to all this, even though I knew I'd get it tomorrow. This was all just too complicated...

Corey's POV
I started walking away from Laney's house, when I heard another one of Carrie's sudden voices. "Well that was a bummer." she giggled. "Yeah..." I sighed, rolling my eyes at her. Suddenly I stopped walking and whipped around, making Carrie come to a halt. "How long have you been here?" I asked, folding my arms. "I followed you, so, the whole time?" she responded. Ugh. "Well, can you not?" I snapped. Carrie looked at me and blinked before turning her expression into a scowl. "Whatever." she grumbled, walking away. Thank you.

I was off to Kin and Kon's house. Maybe they would be in a better mood. When I got there, I found out I was wrong. "What do you want?" growled Kin, who answered the door. "Uh, Kin?" I said, confused. This was totally not the Kin I knew. Before I could say something else,  Kin spoke. "Go away, traitor." he hissed, closing the door on me. Wait... traitor? Was this why my friends were acting strangely? Because I am a traitor?

So many questions flooded my mind while I walked back to my own house. I guess Carrie was my only friend at the moment. ...Well, frienemy. Thankfully, I would be able to tell Lanes everything when tomorrow comes. She'll be able to understand.
