You stood up and walked towards Karina's mom once you saw her walking down the stairs.

" Tita, may speaker po ba kayo? " You asked, and she nodded her head.

" Kuhain ko lang. Why, need mo ba? " she asked, and you nodded.

Karina's mom started walking away from you to took the speaker.

" Here, " she said when she came back.

" Anong gagawin mo? " she asked and smiled.

" Susuyuin ko lang po yung anak ninyo. " You replied as you let out a chuckle.

Then you stood up, and you noticed that Karina's mom followed you.

" V, " she called.

You looked back, and you were surprised when she held your face.

" Huwag na huwag kang mapapagod ha?" Karina's mom suddenly asked.

" Whatever happens, please huwag mo sukuan yung anak ko iha. She's having a hard time right now pero alam kong mahal ka niya. " she said and smiled at you.

" Kapag dumating na yung oras sana ikaw pa rin yung unang makahanap sakanya. "

You didn’t understand anything.

But instead of questioning what's that for, you just nodded even though you didn’t fully understand what she said.

You knew in yourself that you wouldn’t give up, but you didn’t know if you’d get tired or not.

You continued walking.

When you got to her door, Karina's mom was the one who knocked.

" Karina? " she called.

" Yes mom? "

You heard Karina said while she's still inside her room.

Karina's mom smiles.

Karina opened the door and looked at you.

"Nag-usap kami for closure. She asked me kung siya pa rin pero sabi ko hindi na. I love her pero hindi bilang kaibigan nalang because she's my bestfriend."

After that, you placed the speaker down and turned it on after speaking.

" I'm embarrassing myself pero para sa'yo 'to. " You said.

You took your phone and connected it to the speaker. You pressed play and Best Part by H.E.R. started to play.
