Chapter XLI {The Official End}

*19 years later*

"we had roasted lamb last night. your favorite. with pumpkin juice. also your favorite." Draco runs a hand through his hair "you know Scorpious went to Hogwarts today. they built the school back up, heard its much better looking than when we went. of course, i haven't seen it in person yet but i plan on it one day. i'll definitely tell you about it. Scorpious was so excited to go. after all the stories you have told him...oh! and Luna, yeah, she said her first word about a week ago. it was Dada. i couldn't have been more proud! her hair is growing. its black, just like yours. and she has my eyes. Scorpious he's grown to be such a good little man, nothing like his father in that trait." Draco laughs "i saw Harry, Ron and Hermione at the platform today. their kids have grown, a lot! Severus, Harry's son, is almost up to my waist now. unbelievable! they need to come over for dinner soon! i still haven't talked to my father yet. i know you keep bugging me about it but i just can't bring myself to do it. especially if he wants to come to our house or something, i couldn't do that to Luna, putting her in danger like that. my mother on the other hand still comes every week to see her grandkids. its quite annoying though." Draco laughs loudly "George and Angelina got married. i forgot to tell you that. yeah. it was a really fancy wedding, Angelina's parents are very wealthy! Ginny's pregnant again! their fourth child! i thought two was hard. ha! think about four!...i brought roses. your favorite." 

Draco takes a single red rose and places it on the ground.

"i love you." Draco says "see you tomorrow." 

he gets up and leaves but not before turning and looking again.

behind the red rose stands a grave stone. the grave stone reads:

Vanessa Wilde Malfoy

loving wife, mother, and friend.

born January 22, 1980

Vanessa was out smarted. her mother hitting her when she was most vulnerable, ending her life, leaving her beloved husband with a 10 year old, Scorpious Harry Malfoy, and a 2 month old, Luna Hermione Malfoy.
