"Rick say anything to you about Glenn when they got back from town?"
"Just that it had gotten pretty bad."
"He's not the same." Maggie said, wiping her knife. "Says he froze. Blames me. Said that I got inside his head."
"He came back. That's what matters." I reassured the older Greene sister.
"Men have to do certain things, you know that and they're either gonna blame the little woman as the reason they do 'em or as the reason, they don't." Lori grabbed the plates. Uhh...should I take offence to that? "I'll tell you something—what happens out there...happens out there. And we—we're just trying to keep it together till they get back."
"Things were good. Maybe I—"
"Glenn's a big boy. He makes his own decisions. And, then you—do you have anything to apologize for?" Lori asked. Maggie shook her head. "Tell him to man up and pull himself together." Lori advised.
"Just...don't say 'man up'. It never goes well." I said, speaking from how Jayda always told me that.
Maggie let out a sigh. "Let me just get this to Beth."
"You go on. I got this." I said, taking the tray. I walked up to the room that Beth was in, careful not to drop the tray and I opened the door. "Knock, knock." I walked in and set the tray on the bedside table. "How 'bout this—you, uhh—you eat up all your food, we'll get you out of here and go take a walk. What'd ya say?" I asked. "It'll probably do some good to be outside."
