"Sure this is the spot?"
I nodded as Daryl turned to me.
"We left her right here." I said, gesturing to the fallen tree.
"We drew the Walkers way off in that direction up the creek." Rick said, pointing to the way we had ran to get the Walkers away from Sophia.
"Without a paddle—seems where we've landed."
Rick sighed. "She was gone by the time that we got back here. I figured she just took off and ran back to the group. I had told her to go that way and keep the sun on her left shoulder."
Daryl walked over to where Glenn was standing. "Hey, short round, why don't you step off to one side?" Daryl asked. "You're mucking up the trail."
"Assuming that she knows her left from her right." Shane commented.
I rolled my eyes. "Shane, she understood us fine."
Zayn sighed. "Kid's tired and scared. She had her close call with two Walkers. Got to wonder how much of what you guys said stuck."
Zayn had a point.
"Got clear prints right here." Daryl said, pointing to some footprints. "She did like you said, headed back to the highway. Let's spread out, make our way back."
