A: Hotpot

AN: This chapter was made up of various ideas I came up with and thought 'f*ck it, Imma see how much I can do in a single chapter'. Honestly, I thought this would be a * chapter, but I couldn't think of a place to fit it.

On the second day of Jun Yibai's mini break, they decided to have a hotpot and watch movies. It had been a while, so it would be a good way to waste the day away.

That and the weather was getting chilly now, so anything else would be a hassle.

"I say we watch a few dramas." Li Suren proposed, looking excited. "I've heard there's one that is really popular nowadays."

"I'd rather watch a few movies." Chen Guiren countered, listing out a few off the top of his head. "I've been trying to avoid spoilers for weeks now. I can't take the anticipation anymore!"

The pair glared at one another, each determined to get what they wanted. When it was getting close to blows, they turned to Jun Yibai, who had remained quiet throughout.

"Master/Sweetie, what do you think?" They asked in unison.

Jun Yibai hadn't thought about it at all. He wasn't into shows or movies, so it didn't matter that much to him. Both suggestions sounded fine, but he knew he couldn't be neutral here.

So he chose the third option. Leaving.

"I'm going to get the ingredients for our hotpot." He said, quickly moving past the two to the door. "I'll let you guys decide what we'll watch."

Before either of them could argue, the beta shut the door, leaving the pair mystified.

Had he wanted to stay out of the discussion that badly?

Jun Yibai successfully escaped, heading straight for the store nearby. The apartment they rented together was in a very nice area, so it was most convenient to go there.

As he browsed the aisles, he somewhat regretted that he hadn't taken those two with him. Their tastes were very different, so he might have to make two pots just so the pair wouldn't fight.

Jun Yibai briefly wondered how the two could have actually been engaged given how much they bickered.

With that in mind, his mind wandered to their relationship.

He had chosen to forgive them for lying, but he was still the third party in the eyes of others. Worse, if his own parents found out that he was in a relationship with both an omega and an alpha, they might just die from a heart attack right then and there.

It was a hassle that he really didn't want to deal with.

So he'd have to come up with a solution that allowed him to be with those two idiots. His parents would be a hard sell, but he'd save that for last. Unless he secured Li Suren and Chen Guiren as his legal partners, his parents would just write off their relationship as just a fling.

While that was better than an outright rejection, it was not the kind of relationship he wanted for his future.

As the beta tried to come up with an idea, he spotted someone beside him who was giving the row of vegetables a baleful glare. The man was tall. Taller than Jun Yibai and muscular in ways that the beta was a bit envious of.

Jun Yibai's body was sculpted from labor and built for endurance. This guy's body was built in combat and looked as toned as any soldier.

Glancing over again, Jun Yibai couldn't help but frown. This guy looked vaguely familiar, but he couldn't place him.
