Jude and I share an art class, I know both of us in art what a joke. "Today class we'll be making pottery." The teacher announced. "Each one of you pick a station and begin to mold this vase," He points to a pre-made vase on a shelf.
I sit at a pottery wheel near Jude. We make jokes about how bad these vases will be. Jude starts his wheel at a slow pace, and starts to mold the lump of clay. I look over in fear, I cant do this. I turn the wheel on the slowest pace and place my hands on the clay. Pushing and molding it, its not that hard. I get cocky and turn up the speed. I glance at Jude he is really enjoying himself also his vase looks really good. I look back to my project and the clay is dis-formed. Quickly I start to fix what the wheel had changed, this vase does not look that bad. "Hey Jude look at this!" I say to Jude without taking my eyes of the clay. Continuing to mold the clay Jude says, "Well look at mine! Mine is superior to yours," He giggles.
I turn the wheel off, I walk over to where Jude is sitting, "Not anymore," I push his clay down, the clay splats on Jude and I. "What was that for?" Jude looks at me grinning, wiping some of the clay off his apron and smudging it on my face. "I can't have yours look better than mine!" "Connor please return to your seat," The teacher prompted.
"He was just asking me for help," Jude's grin was large as he looked over to me. "Alright, go ahead." The teacher continued what he was doing. Jude brought his stool over to my station and placed it behind mine. I sat down, Jude sat behind me and brought his arms around me. Turning on the wheel Jude put his hands over mine. "This is so cheesy." I whisper to him. "Well you did not want yours to look worse than mine." Jude continued to help me until the vase was finished.
