(At this point Connor is living with his Mom)
Jude and I are going to a queer summer camp called camp tawonga, to meet others like us.
My mom and I go to pick up Jude. We get to the Fosters household. "So this is where Jude lives? And he was a foster child? Wow." Mom exclaimed. I jump out of the car and run to the door. I quickly ring the doorbell, I am jittery. Jude and I have not seen each other in two weeks, its been the longest two weeks Ive ever lived. Jude opens the door and pulls me into a hug without even looking at me. "I missed you," I whispered in his ear, he squeezes me tighter. Jude grabbs his backpack and sleeping bag and says goodbye to the family. We headed towards the car, I opened the trunk for Jude, "Such a gentleman," he said to me while throwing his things in the back. We get in the car and Jude says to my mom, "Hi! How've you been?" My mom adds, "I've been well, are you excited for camp?" Jude's eyes widen and he giggles "Of course! It is going to be so much fun! I hope Connor and I are in the same cabin... Not tents." I look at him and comment "Jude!" and lightly hit his arm.
We spent the rest of the 40 minute drive listening to music and taking pictures of each other. The car pulls to a stop and I look out the window to see a bunch of teens standing in line. "We are here!" My Mom says and gets out of the car to open the trunk. I and Jude grab all our devices and get out of the car. I pass Jude his bag and I grab mine. My Mom waits in line with us, she has register us. I wrap my arm around Jude's waist and kiss him on the cheek. He looks at me in disgust. "Connor... Please. We are in public," I look around, and say "Jude this is a camp for LGBT+ teens, there is nothing to worry about." I pull him in closer. Jude grunts at me.
We are at the front of the line, my mom says to the lady at the desk. "I am here to sign in Connor Stevens and Jude Adams-Foster. The women says, "May I have their pronouns?" My mother replies, "He, for both Connor and Jude." The women writes a name tag with the pronouns he on it. My mom kisses my cheek and hugs Jude, "Ill see you two in a week!" She walks off to her car.

"Hello! I am the main camp counselor and founder of camp tawonga! My name is Phoenix, my pronouns are he and they. The cabins will be sectioned by how you feel about yourself and you will be assigned a cabin in each "land". Genderless utopia, man land and womens lodge. If you have any issues or you are lost just find a counselor, we are all wearing bright purple shirts!" Phoenix blabs on for a while longer, Jude and I are sitting in the grass, holding hands. After Phoenix is done introducing us to the system, I stand up. I put out my hand for Jude, he takes it and I pull him up. We walk over to the man land group. There are quite a few people who identify as male here. We meet some of the other teens before Phoenix leads us to the cabins.
Jude and I make sure to share a bunk.
