"Should we tell scary stories?" Michael asked and took a bite out of his s'more.
"I'd say sure but I know I won't be able to sleep tonight." Sydney said and Luke chuckled. He raised his eyebrows and Sydney caught on to what he was trying to say; they were going on an adventure tonight.
"What if we play a song? I promised Sydney we would," Luke asked and the boys agreed. Sydney placed the now fully developed picture of the whole group roasting marshmallows on her bag and she took out her polaroid camera. She thought the boys were annoyed of her and her camera since she took it everywhere and took many pictures, especially off guard pictures, but she didn't care, she was making memories and she wanted to take pictures so every single memory would always be fresh and never forgotten.
The four boys went back insides and grabbed their instruments. Ashton grabbed a wooden cajon, which worked as a drum, or so he explained.
They decided to play Teenage Dirtbag, which in Sydney's opinion, is one of the best songs she has ever heard.
She took a picture of them and waited for it do develop. Their voices were amazing mixed together and she was amazed by how these four boys were capable of singing and playing their instruments so perfectly and in sync.
She didn't want this night to end but Luke said he had to drop Sydney off at Lisa's because she wanted her home, even though that was not the case, in a way. Sydney did have to go to Lisa's house since she wasn't going to stay at Ashton's or Luke's. Luke dropped drop Syndey off at her aunt's house. Sydney opened the door, revealing Lisa and her boyfriend making out on the couch.
"I'm home," Sydney said awkwardly, making Lisa push her boyfriend off of her, following by a loud thump and a groan.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know you'd be home this early." Lisa said and ran a hand through her hair.
"It's nearly one in the morning, how is that early?" Sydney asked. She didn't like that her aunt was so careless, but at the same time she liked it. "Never mind, I'm going to sleep. Good night." She heard a good night coming from Lisa and her boyfriend, followed by a giggle. Sydney rolled her eyes and went to her temporary room, making sure to lock the door behind her. She nearly shrieked when she saw a tall figure in her room but she knew right away it was Luke. Luke chuckled after she turned on the light and scanned the room.
"Your room is messier than mine," Luke pointed out while looking at two shirts that were on the floor, along with a pair of socks. Sydney blushed a little and mentally slapped herself for not picking up her clothes.
"Thanks for pointing that out," She said and Luke sat down on the bed.
"Well, I want to take you somewhere nice but we have to wait until six o'clock, so make up an excuse since we're most likely going to get breakfast after this." Luke said and sat on the bed.
"Six a.m. workout?" She asked and Luke nodded. Sydney went downstairs, only to find Lisa and her boyfriend making out on the couch again. Sydney coughed, and Lisa immediately looked up. "Lisa, Can I leave the house at six in the morning to work out?"
"Yeah, sure." Lisa said and Sydney fake smiled before going back to her temporary room. Sydney was sure Lisa would let her get a tattoo, because that's how she was, she let Sydney do whatever she wanted. Sydney felt like she gave her way too much freedom, not that she was complaining, but it was just too much. Lisa immediately forgot about the rules she gave Sydney when she first got here and Sydney didn't like that Lisa was so careless.
