"Does no one understand the concept of a secret base?" Izuku grumbled as he walked into his kitchen later that day. He'd slept longer than he would have liked, but when he awoke to Hanta's peaceful face pressed against his neck, he found he truly couldn't complain.

When both finally managed to return to full consciousness and crawl out of bed, Izuku was less than pleased with all of the occupants in his apartment. Toga was a given, after all, it was her apartment as well. He should have expected Kaminari to still be hanging around, seeing as the man had just come back from the dead with the help of Izuku's quirk. Bakugou being there grated on the villain's nerves, but again, he should have expected it. Aizawa and Shinsou on the other hand, those two really had no reason for being present.

But even that, Izuku could look past. What he couldn't understand was Nezu sitting on his counter, sipping tea from a cup that definitely wasn't Izuku's, and swinging his hind legs back and forth. Yes, the little rodent was sitting on top of the counter.

Izuku's eye twitched.

Shinsou released a quiet snort over the lip of his coffee mug that did belong to Izuku. The villain couldn't decide if he hated the hero using his cup more or less than Nezu bringing his own.

"Do you understand the concept?" Shinsou mumbled, eyeing Izuku over the rim as he took a drink.

Izuku rolled his shoulders back as he maneuvered through the cluttered space. "What the hell is that supposed to mean?" he grumbled as he grabbed a mug for himself and one for Hanta, pouring them both a share of the steaming coffee.

"Every single one of us already knew where you lived, dumbass. You're the one that can't keep a secret," Bakugou answered with a snarky roll of his eyes.

Izuku let his eyes flutter closed as he took a few gulps of the coffee, ignoring the way it burnt his mouth and throat. He wished he had an IV on hand to inject it straight into his blood stream, but beggars couldn't be choosers.

"Himi lives here, Hanta lives here, the rest of you are free-loaders," he mumbled, the usual heat missing from his snippy tone.

"C'mon," Kaminari said with a small whine from the couch, thankfully now clothed in what appeared to be something from Hanta's wardrobe. Izuku vaguely recognized the hoodie and sweatpants combo. "Even I don't get a free pass? You killed me, dude."

Over the years, Izuku had perfected the crazed serial killer smile, which he flashed the blond's direction. "Want me to do it again?"

"Shut the fuck up," Bakugou said with an annoyed huff.

Izuku's lips pursed as he realized not a single person in the room took his threat at face value anymore. He'd... lost his edge? How had that happened?

Shinsou stretched out on the length of the couch he'd commandeered at some point. "It's hard to be scared of the guy who cried when he accidentally killed someone. We know you're not a murderer, Midoriya."

"Ah, ah, ah," Toga said from her spot perched on a stool. "That's not right. He is a big, scary murderer. He just likes you guys. You should really remember that," she explained with a half-shrug.

"We can debate my morality later," Izuku huffed. He's eyes found Nezu, then Aizawa. They were the responsible adults, even in a room of twenty-somethings. "What'd you want?"

"You in cuffs?" Aizawa supplied.

"Hardy-har-har," Izuku mumbled into his mug. "Try again next year."
