Demyx threw himself on the bed and curled up into a tight ball as tight as his scars would let him. He closed his eyes and saw the images of Marluxia's last moments. He lingered on the moment where he last kissed Marluxia. But then a knock on the door interrupted the moment, he threw his eyes open, uncurled himself, and went to the door. Axel was there.

"What?"

"May I come in?"

"Yeah...unless you are going to tell me to forget about Marly, then you might as well leave me."

"You know...I remember, Mar, telling me before he went to fight. That at your anniversary you told him that you would've kissed me to get pay back for Zexion kissing him."

"I did tell him that, yes. What about it?"

"Well...what would you say if I kissed you?"

"Axel...if you're trying to get with me, you might as well for---"

Demyx was interrupted... by Axel kissing him. It felt so good to be kissed again, but it felt so wrong because he only thought of Axel as a brother. Demyx's feelings got confused and didn't know what to do. This was different from any kisses that Marluxia had given him, but it felt so familiar. He knew that Marluxia didn't know any magic to place any spells on Axel, so this was really Axel kissing him. He hated himself for what Axel was doing, and what it was doing to his feeling as well. Demyx wasn't in control of himself and he took it too far. Further than what Axel had intended in fact, that Axel broke the kiss.

"Marly..."Demyx said without thinking.

"Uh, no...Axel." Axel said as he realized that it didn't trigger anything from Demyx.

"Axel?"

"Yes."

"Why?"

"Because I wanted to see your reaction to it. But I could tell that not even that had brought anything back."

"I haven't lost my memory, Axel. My memory is just fine."

"I know...but I could tell that you love him more than I thought."

"Axel...Do you love me or something?"

"I love you as a brother, nothing more."

"Then why you kissed me?"

"Because I thought you had wanted to kiss me."

"No...I didn't...it felt nice to be kissed again though."

"Do you want another?"

"N...y..." Axel could tell that what he did had screwed up Demyx's feelings.

"One more shouldn't hurt you." Axel replied. He went in for another kiss.

Demyx obeyed instead of resisting. Again it felt wrong, but it felt right. He didn't know what to think this time. The door was open and Saiix was coming to give back the jewelry that Marluxia had on. He froze as he spotted Axel kissing Demyx.

Axel pulled back from the kiss and looked at Demyx.

"Anything this time?" Axel asked. Demyx walked away thinking over it and trying to get his feelings straight...but they were just as jumbled as his thoughts were.

It took Demyx a few moments to get his thoughts together.

"A...are you sure you only like me as brother?" Demyx asked.

"I'm positive that I love you as a brother."

"How did those kisses feel to you then?"

"Dem...this isn't about my feelings...it's about yours."
