Chapter 13: Engaged to Another Relationship

Demyx woke up heaving a shattering sigh. Axel looked over at him as he opened his eyes.

"Had a good rest?"

"Not really."

Saiix and Xigbar went over to Demyx, but kept their distance. So Demyx could get fresh air.

"Hungry still?"

"Stupid question...to ask." Demyx tried to smile a laughed.

Axel laughed as he got up and got Demyx's food. "Here...eat slow and in small bits. Don't eat to fast." Axel explained as he came back over to Demyx.

"I know." Demyx picked up the fork with his right hand and dropped it before he took his first bit.

"Need help?"

"Yes."

Xigbar and Saiix had a face that looked like they were adored by what they saw. Axel picked up the fork.

"No."

"But, Dem, you just said..."

"I know ...what I ...said."

"Then...?"

"My hand... help."

"Oh." Axel replied, as he understood where Demyx was getting at.

Axel took the fork and placed it in Demyx's hand, then gently placed his hand over Demyx's. He let Demyx control his hand, as Demyx was eating. Demyx was half way done with is plate and he let the fork drop onto the plate.

"Are you done?"

"No...thirsty."

"What do you want?" Xigbar asked.

Demyx turned his head to see that Xigbar was with them.

"Hi...Xig."

"Hi, Dem. I'm glad to see you still alive."

"I'm glad to be alive." Demyx tried to smile.

"What do you want to drink?"

"Something light...to start."

"All right...I'll be back."

Xigbar left the room and disappeared towards the kitchen.

"Dem..."

"Yes, Axel."

"Do you want to sleep in my room tonight?"

"You mean...until I...heal?" Demyx saw this in Axel's eyes. Saiix were shocked that Demyx had caught something that he didn't.

"Yes, that's what I mean...I think that Saiix would like his room back."

"We're in ... his room?" Demyx asked confused.

Axel laughed. "Yes, Dem, we are...his room was closer to where Luckai struck you. Than our rooms were."

"Oh..."

"So...what do you say?"

"My room...if that ...is ok with you?"

"Yes, that is fine with me. Did you want to go over there now?" Axel asked.

Demyx tried getting up again with much effort. He got himself in a painful sitting position, which was what he was trying to do earlier.

"Dem...what are you doing?"

"What...does it ...look like...I'm doing." Demyx had heavy pain in his voice as he said this.

"Let me help you then." Axel asked as he went to help Demyx.
