Chapter 10: A New Life

It's been three days since Luckai had kissed Demyx; Demyx was thinking thing over in his mind. He hasn't told Axel yet, and that was what he been delaying that. Since Luckai was such a new member, Axel might think that he was taking advantage of him. He finally made up his mind to tell Axel. He went over to Axel's room and knocked on the door. Bethann had answered the door.

"Hi, Dem, can I help you with something?" She asked.

"Whoa...is Axel in there?"

"One moment." She walked over to where Axel was. "Hey Ax, Dem is here. He wants to talk to you about something."

Demyx heard Axel heaved a huffy sigh. "Why didn't you let him in? I told you he is the only member you could let in... if they ask for me."

Demyx laughed to himself.

"Oh...I didn't here that part...I'm sorry." Bethann went back to the door. "You could come in."

"Thanks...Ax, can I talk to you alone please?"

"Yeah, Beth, go on up I'll be right there."

Bethann stared at Axel curiously. "I'm not going to do anything. We are simply going to talk...right Dem?"

"Right."

"Alright." Bethann left the room and closed the door behind her.

"Are you trying out on being straight or something?'

"Yeah... she's a nice person, after she gets into reality. But it could take her time to it though."

"How long have you've been seeing her?"

" Three years."

"Three years!"

"Yeah."

"Jeez...I missed a lot. What else have I missed?"

"Luxord and Xaldin are in a commitment relationship now. Saiix and Elvira just got together last year ...anyway what is it that you want to tell me?"

"Oh...it's about Luckai."

"What about him?"

"Well...when we went on that mission three days ago. He told me, he likes me. Then we got back and went to Zexion's tree and he kissed me."

"Luckai? Kissed you?"

"Yes...he had done it without thinking though...I had noticed that. But before he did he has asked me if I liked him."

"I barely know him...how do you know he won't hurt you?"

"Because...he lost his love and went through the exact stages I had just went through."

Axel looked at Demyx. "Who was his love?"

"His love's name was Rowbert...he died to do a disease. When they were going on their tenth year anniversary of their own commitment six years back."

"Wow...I didn't know that."

"Of course you didn't. He didn't want anyone else to know about it. The reason why he had asked me to go on the mission with him was because he liked me. I had agreed, because of what you had told me."

"He did this all three days ago and you are just now coming to me about it?"

Demyx looked away. "Yeah."

"Why?"

"Because I thought you would tell me that I was taking advantage of him for being a new member...and to have him as a cover up for my loss."
