8 - A Weird Man

The next week seems to go by pretty quickly. Maybe it is because I am excited for my next doctor's appointment.

On Friday, somebody asks me a weird question while I am walking home from school.

"Do you remember?" a tall man with dark brown hair asks me on my way home from school.

"Remember what?" I ask.

"Nothing. It seems you don't remember," he says.

He disappears before I can say anything else.

"Who was that man?" I say to myself.

That man sure was weird. It seems like he had a glitch in his holo-watch. I should report it.

I take my phone out to report what I saw. I call the number for reporting.

"Hello?" says the female on the other side.

"Hello. I would like to report a man," I say.

"Alright. Let me set up the connection," the female replies.

When you report someone, you see a holo-gram of the person you are talking to. Also you can do things such as create what you are reporting. No one else can hear what you are talking about or see what you are doing. All they see is you looking at something on your phone.

"What are you reporting?" asks the female.

"A man," I say.

"What did he say?" the female on the other side asks me.

I type in the exact words he said.

"What did he look like?" she asks me.

I use the holo-gram of a person to show what he looked like.

"He looked like this. He had dark brown hair, fair skin, and wasn't wearing his uniform, as you can see. He was wearing glasses so I don't know what his eyes looked like," I say.

"I will investigate this. You don't need to worry. I have all the information I need," she says.

"Okay," I say ending the call.

I wonder who that man was.

I continue to head home as normal. I know that I shouldn't worry about it.

I walk into the house with Lucas. I somehow made the bus even with that weird man who talked to me and how I had to report.

I go upstairs to start my homework. I find that I cannot concentrate.

Maybe I should talk to Dr. Jensen about this. She could help me no longer be worried. Good thing my doctor's appointment is two days away.

I force myself to work on my homework even though my mind is thinking about that weird man. Somehow, I finish it within the hour.

"Finally done!" I say to myself.

I check my holo-watch. 17:56.

I should go down for dinner. It's in 4 minutes.

I walk down stairs and I sit on the couch to wait for dinner.

After a few minutes pass, I go over to the kitchen and get my dinner. After that I sit down at the table and wait for everyone else to sit down so I can start eating.

"How was your day?" asks my dad to me.

"It was good," I say.

"Anything interesting happen today?" my dad asks me.
