There was a lot on my mind while I was going home from my doctor appointment. Once I entered my house though, I dismissed those thoughts.

"I'm back," I say.

"Welcome back Rin. How was your doctor's appointment? Mom told me to tell you to do your homework. She said since you might be home a few minutes after 17, you should start your homework right away when you get home. She seemed angry about the fact that your doctor's appointment ended 15 minutes before you have to do your homework... Next time schedule your doctor's appointments earlier. There was something I wanted to ask you... It had something to do with your doctor appointment. It must have not mattered... Also a friend of yours called asking if you were free right now. I told her you were busy. You should call her back. It was Alexandra. Alexandra was the one who called. You should call her back. Mom told me to ask you when your next doctor's appointment is. She wanted to make sure it wouldn't end less than 30 minutes before you have to do homework. Also mom is at work right now. This week for the weekend she had work today instead of yesterday. I guess you would know that, as she was home yesterday. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know. Oh yeah. I just remembered what I wanted to ask you. How was your doctor appointment? Was it good? What's with that you have? Did you get some things at the doctor's office? It's that time isn't it...? Your 13 now, soon you will be an adult. Well a training-adult, but they are pretty much the same thing. Does being 13 feel weird? Does it feel weird knowing that soon you will be an adult? Well... training adult... But I it's the same thing so I guess it doesn't matter which I say... I will have to remember that. Ahahaha... Like I could remember it. Being 13 can be a weird experience. Once you become an adult. Wait the official term for it is training adult. Didn't I just say it didn't matter which I said? As I was saying, once you move out of your house and live on your own, it's different. Even though the society has made sure we can be very independent... Also they have made sure we are not too independent and that we can rely on others if needed. Oh yeah. Once your 13 and you are living on your own, it feels very different. It can feel like you were being protected and then all that protection is lost. You don't have people reminding you. Although your holo-watch still reminds you," says my Dad.

My dad is a man in his thirties with dirty blonde hair and very light skin, while my mom has more of a reddish tone to her skin than my dad. My dad has hazel eyes, and no one else my family has hazel eyes. My mom and brother have brown eyes, while I have blue.

My dad talks more than most people. Many say my brother talks a lot, but they obviously haven't met my dad. Yes, my brother does talk a lot, but compared to my dad it's nothing. My dad always comes up with things to say. I'm surprised he doesn't forget what he is going to say.

Even though my dad talks a lot, if he doesn't have anything to say, he doesn't talk much. Such as if you talk to him a lot yourself, he will eventually have nothing to say. If you tried locking him in a closet, he would still have lots to talk about. Such as how dark the closet was and how boring it was.

Even though my dad talks a lot, he doesn't talk in places where we are supposed to be quiet. He also can be good at not talking when it seems right. Although if you talk to him in such a place or time, then he will talk a lot. It's better than the past though, as he would talk for hours on end even in a quiet place. His doctor is helping him talk less, as far as I know.

When my dad talks, I don't exactly listen to him. I do listen, but I only try to remember the important things. I only pay attention to the important parts.

"My doctor's appointment was fine. I will call Alexandra back later. I got a charger for my new phone at the doctor's appointment. My phone looks so weird!" I laugh. "Well, it feels weird being 13. I guess I'll be moving out pretty soon, huh? I think it's once I'm 14. I'm pretty sure I become an adult before then though. After I move out I'll be sure to visit."
