"Aaaahhhh!" I started screaming. Everyone looked like I was insane and then asked what happened.
"I made it!" I said.
"You made the team?!" Asked Jackson. I nodded. "What position?"
"Tight end, safety, and back up quarterback." I bragged.
He stared at me, "You are playing all three?!" He asked surprised.
"No derp, that's what I said wasn't it?" I rolled my eyes.
"Congrats!" Trenton said, giving me a hug.
"Thanks!" I said smiling brightly.
"Now, who is up for some football?" Said Chris, running up the stairs to go outside.

On Thursday, the day of our first practice, I was sitting in the lunchroom at a table with Imre. Imre was looking at me when her eyes traveled to something behind me. She furrowed her eyebrows with hatred. I was almost scared to turn around and find out who or what was there.
I turn around in my seat to find Prudence glaring down at me. "What," I say standing up.
"I told you, you can't play on the football team. It's for men only." She sneers.
"Well, I didn't see any men on that team. All I saw was little immature boys who tie up innocent girls and shove them in lockers to stop them from going out on a field and kicking their butts." I respond simply.
"But... well.... I ... a... they are too men." She states.
I raised my eyebrows. "Really?" I ask. Whatever. I shake my head and sit down turning back to a smiling Imre.
"That was a pretty lame comeback on her part," She laughs.
"Tell me about it," I say smiling.
"Your only playing football so you can be like a boy. Because they are the only ones in your house. If you had a mom then maybe you could be a maid or something trashy like what your moms life was like." I hear a voice say behind me.
I freeze at those words. I was mad. And you don't want to see me mad. But I also want to not get kicked out in the first month of school.
I stand up and face her. "At least she didn't have as trashy of a life as you do." I retort grabbing my lunch and walking away.
"Maybe, but at least I'm not as ugly as you!" She shouts across the entire lunch room.
Everyone heard and stopped what they were doing, turning to face what was going on. They probably hoped it was a fight.
I clench my jaw and keep walking.
"You are such a useless slut. You think that if you join the football team then you can flirt with the guys and get them in bed with you." She screams.
If anyone had been talking before. They weren't. It was so quiet you could hear a feather drop.
I kept walking and Imre followed. I just had to make it out of the lunch room before I broke her nose.
"It is true isn't it? That's why you are walking away. You are such a spoiled brat. You think you can just walk onto the team and get every guy you think is hot in your bed." She screamed impossibly louder.
I was almost out of the room. keep walking, I tell myself, but don't walk faster otherwise you will look like your are scared.
"You shouldn't play football you aren't strong enough, maybe you should be a cheerleader. Oh wait, cheerleaders aren't fat and ugly." She taunts.
Ignore her I scream at myself. I barely contain myself from running out of the lunch room.
Once outside I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and slide down the wall so I'm sitting on the ground.
"Wow." Says Imre. "How did you not knock some of her teeth out?"
"No clue." I say shaking my head.
"She really hates you." She says after a while.
"You think?" I ask sarcastically.
"I know," She responds.
