Escape from the base

When Shadow awoke he was on an operating table, tightly strapped down, in a lot of pain, he had deep cuts on his arms, legs and stomach, he looked over on his left side, there was a small table, injection needles were on it and also some other metal tools. He then thought that he was back in the lab at GUN but then he looked over to his right.

a robot stood beside him, holding some kind of tool for surgery above Shadow's head.

It looked like the robot was about to cut Shadow's head open with the sharp pointy scalpel it held in it's metal hand.

Sonic was nowhere to be found in the small room that was meant to be a lab.

In other room in the base, Sonic started to wake up. He stood up and looked around a bit. He was in some kind of strange capsule, it was mostly like the one Shadow was created in.

Egg man appeared in front of the frightened hedgehog.

Sonic stood back a bit in the large cylinder capsule.

Egg man: Like the capsule, Sonic?
I found it on the space colony ark, this is exactly the one Shadow was created in, the same Shadow that was with you when I captured you.

Sonic: What have you done with him, Egg head.

Egg man: It's Egg man you infuriating rodent!! As for your question, Shadow is in my lab, being tested on by one of my robots.

Sonic was now really worried for Shadow since Shadow's two worst fears were injection needles and losing those who are really close to him as in family or friends.

- in the lab-

Shadow closed his eyes tightly as the robot lowered the scalpel to Shadow's red stripe that was on his head. The sharp part barely touching the stripe then once the robot got to the middle, it made a quick stab at Shadow. Shadow cried out. He opened his eyes and tried to move his right arm but the straps were too strong to break so he gave up trying to break them.

The robot then set the green blood stained scalpel down on the table, the robot grabbed an injection needle, once Shadow saw the needle he started to panic.
The robot then went back to it's last position, it held the syringe above Shadow's stomach this time. Shadow was so frightened that he was sweating and shivering.

- room where Sonic is.-

Sonic: What are you gonna do with me?

Egg man: keep you locked up for now until further notice, I'm thinking about taking you and Shadow to GUN after I'm done torturing you both.

Sonic: No... Please don't.... Their gonna kill us, possibly like they killed your grandfather.

Egg man: My grand father? You mean Gerald Robotnik?

Sonic nodded.
Sonic: last time we were there, we were in the lab, Shadow got to talk to him a bit then we were separated, we were put in a small room, crawled through the vents and Shadow looked down in this room.... Gerald had died by an electric chair.....

Egg man didn't reply. He could tell that Sonic wasn't lying.

-lab-

Shadow tightly closed his eyes again only this time the robot didn't cause any pain, It put the needle back then took the straps off Shadow and went through a steal door, far away from Shadow. Shadow sat up once the robot was gone. He stood up, it was hard for him to walk at first so he had to take one step, grab something to hold on to after every step. After a couple times of doing this, he regained his balance and easily walked out of the lab and into the room where Sonic and Egg man were, when he got in to the room, he noticed that Sonic was unharmed. Sonic was out of the capsule by now since Egg man let him go.

Sonic: Jeez, you look horrible.... You look like you just got out of hell!

Shadow: I don't know about hell but it was pretty bad where I was....

Egg man: You two can go now... Look I'll try to settle the whole GUN problem for now, I owe it to my grandfather, also known as you're creator, Shadow.

Shadow: ugh thanks.

Sonic: we better go before he changes his mind and kills us....

Shadow nodded. The two ran out of the base, Shadow ran part of the way then he totally collapsed do to how weak he was from the deep cuts and being extremely tired. Sonic picked him up and carried him. Shadow hung on to Sonic as Sonic ran, he wasn't hanging on too terribly tight.

The two were soon at their home.
Shadow was asleep by the time they got home, he was curled up in Sonic's arms. He kinda looked like a child as he slept in Sonic's arms.
