his watch beeped,
he sighed.
he had been waiting for a long period of time,
sitting on the bench outside the school,
waiting for her.
he heard the rusty double doors open,
multiple figures walking out,
laughing.
but he only heard hers.
that sound.
the sound that made him sad and joyful at the same time.
it was confusing.
time consuming.
but time was limited.
like an hourglass.
she was an hourglass.
only having limited amounts of time,
before tipping over,
and falling again.
into the pool of her own disgust,
sadness,
empathy,
rage.
she was the only one there .
still smiling, hoping not to seem like a leaking fauet.
it was all fake,
until he said her name,
and the walls dropped.
sincerely, mara.
