Caden's P.O.V.

I left my mate's mansion, shifted, and ran home. My mate. My mate!!! I can't believe I finally found her.

I also can't believe she's 83,627 years old. I thought I waited long. I think I'm already wrapped around here pretty little finger! I've only met her an hour ago and I'm whipped.

But there's something familiar about her 'food'. I think I heard that story before. Of a woman that takes prisoners punished by death, but I don't remember where!

I have to mind-link my mother and tell her!

'Hey mom! We have a visitor for dinner today!'

It took her a moment to respond. 'The girl I told you to invite? And why do you sound so happy?' I can almost imagine her raising an eyebrow at me.

'Because mom! Turns out this girl is my m-m-maaaaa........' I trailed off wanting to mess with her.

'MATE!? OH MY GID MY BABY BOY FOUND HIS MATE! THIS IS GOING TO BE A GREAT DINNER' my mom screamed/squealed in my head.

'OW! My now I have a headache!' I whined, ouch!

'Oh shush! I need to go cook dinner!' She said excitedly and blocked me out.

I followed the scent to the pack house, Vera's house is not that far! Only 20 minutes in wolf form. I arrived at the packhouse and entered to.....CHAOS! Everyone was running around carrying plates and chairs and food and other things.

I stopped a mid-aged lady when she walked past me.

" What the hell is happening here?" I demanded.

"Oh hello Alpha!" She bowed then looked up. " Why your mate is coming for dinner we need to prepare a perfect one! Our Luna has arrived!" She squealed and ran off.

"Ooookay....." I said to myself. Typical of my mom to spread the news! Why didn't I tell her to keep it a secret!? God I'm such an idiot! I went searching for my mom and found her in her and dad's room applying make up.

"Mom what's with the chaos downstairs? Isn't it a bit early?" I asked.

"A bit early!? Son it's 6:30! I think I told you to invite her at 7! Now get ready!" She scoldes. Realization hit me like a slap. I need to get ready!

"Oh shit!" I exclaim running out of their room.

"Language!" Mom calls after me. But no time to respond!

I rush into my room and take a quick shower, brush my teeth, and did my business. I got out of the bathroom in only a towel to find the packs slut, Sally, sitting on my bed with lingerie on. EEEEEWWWW! What the fuck!?

"What the hell do you think you doing!?" I demand looking into her eyes. She stands up in what she thinks is a seductive way, but really she looked like she got shot in the hip. She walks up to me and rests her hands on my chest. I immediately step back feeling disgusted.

"Awww come on Cady don't be like that!" She says in her whiny voice and reaches out again, but of course I backed away." Oh Com'n! I know for sure your mate isn't as beautiful as I am. We can get rid of her easily. Just reject her and I can be your Luna." She whispers.

By now I'm fuming. My breathing is heavy and I'm sure my eyes turned completely silver, my eyes turn completely silver if Jackson is angry or completely green if he is out ans relaxed. "GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY ROOM SLUT! IF MY MATE MUCH AS EVEN SEES YOU NEAR ME SHE WOULD EAT, LITERALLY! AND I WON'T STOP HER!" I screamed at her.
