Caden's P.O.V

I closed the door after Vera and turned around to my family and friends.

" Sooooooooo, you guyz like her? " I asked.

" She's gonna be my new bestie! Like she is so cool! And I love her stories and life! " Squealed Valerie. All the other girls nod in agreement.

" She's powerful! I'm pretty sure she's the strongest Luna to ever survive! And she is pretty awesome.... " Says Luke. All the guyz agree with him.

I turned to my father. "Wha about you dad?"

"She's great son. Strong, powerful, beautiful, sweet, I'm sure wise with her age and words. She's a great Luna. She also has alot of good things for the pack, the only thing I'm not sure about is her curse." He replied with a thoughtful look. I look at my mkm now.

"Mom?"

"I love her Vera! And her personality is cute! My daughter-in - law is just amazing! Your really lucky Caden! You better treat her well. " My mom turned serious at the end.

" Of course I would treat her right!" I growled. " Im really glad you all like her! " I say happily. Then I realize that Cassie is not here. "Uh, where's Cassie? " Just then we all get a mind-link from her.

'I  went with Vera to her house guyz! We're having a sleepover! No need to worry! She teleported us there! Be jealous girls! I'm her first best friend! Sends Cassie. I can just imagine her sticking her tongue out at us.

" I'm her mate, and my twin sister sleeps in the same house as her first!?" I exclaim. They all snicker while I scowl. "That's not fair!" I huff and cross my arms over my chest and stomp up the stairs.

I get in my room and I'm not surprised at all. Guess who's on my bed with lingerie on again!? That's right. Sally. " Get. The. Fuck. Out " I say calmly.

" Babe that's your mate!? The slut that slept with your best friend!? I mean look at her! It's obvious that she's fake!" She exclaimed.

" Just leave me alone don't you get it!? And anything that happened before she met me doesn't matter! NOW LEAVE! " I said using the Alpha Tone on her. She whimpered and ran out of the room for the second time this day. Damn stubborn, power hungry Slut! Vera will kill her if Sally annoys her again, not that I really care.

Finally some peace and quite. Thank God tomorrow is Saturday. NO CLASSES! And I get to spend the day with Vera. That's if she agreed to go out on a date with me. I mind-link her and ask her. SHE SAID YES!

But right now I need to call the elders about this curse. I call the elder of the supernatural, which is also my great grandfather! He picks up after the 3rd ring.

" Elder Mathew speaking " he says in his old voice.

" Hey Grandpa! It's me Caden, can I meet you on Sunday? There is a matter I need to speak to you about." I said.

" Oh, ok, son. Why is there a problem? " He asked.

" yes kinda,  so I found my mate, which is a hybrid - " I say but he cuts me off.

" Ah you mean Vera Serenity Nylock? She's your mate then huh? It's about time for both of you! I know her." He spoke.

"You know her? How?"

"She was my best friend and the one to fix things between me and your grandmother, the one to avenge her death too. "  he said.

"Wait , wait , wait! If my grandfather killed his mother, which was your mate, that means Vera killed him? Oh no! My father should not know about this! He'll hate her since he doesn't know the truth. "

" Then tell him the truth son. But how about you come over to my cabin at 10 a.m. on Sunday to talk? I don't like talking over the phone."

" Alright then. See you soon granpa! Goodnight. "

" Goodnight to you too, Caden."

I hung up and to find my dad. I find him In his office so I knock on the door. I hear a grunt of frustration and giggle and some shuffling untill I open the door. I find my parents with messy clothes and an empty desk. My face scrunches in disgust.

" You were gonna give me and Callie a sibling on your office desk? " I asked slowly. "EWWWW " I shriek. There faces become beet red. Bad image, bad image.

My father clears his throat ," so what did you want Caden? " I remember why I am here and what I'm about to tell him.

" Mom, dad. There is something I need to tell you." They frown in confusion. " Do you know how and why your dad and mom died father? " I asked.

" They were killed because they attacked an enemy pack" he answers.

I shake my head, " Both answers are wrong. They hid the truth from you and your siblings dad."

"Then what the hell happened!?" He demands.

I sigh, "Dad, your grandmother loved my grandma alot, you know that, and one day she caught your father cheating on her, cheating on your mate is punished by death. His mother td his mate what she saw, and of course your mother believed her. She couldn't bear the pain of such an act as cheating.....so she killed herself. Your father got so angry that he killed his own mom. These were two acts punished by death. He also faked his and her death and blamed it on our allie pack so they can be seen as an enemy, and killed that pack off. " I take a deep breath and look at their faces, mom shows sadness while dad shows shock, betrayal, and anger. I continue," But great granpa and grandma had a best friend, she got so angry and killed your father, because she saw the whole thing two since she can read minds. Dad, that was......Vera." I spoke quietly and avoid their gazes.

" Why didn't anyone tell me the truth? I mean I deserve to know the truth rather than searching for their killer for years! They were my parents! I thought they were killed and I searched for the asshole and it turns out to be your fucking freak of a mate!?" Dad screams. Jackso growles in my head for the insult towards my mate.

"Dad! Don't insult my mate for doing her job." I warn." Then wasn't it your father that cheated on his mate, caused her to kill herself, blamed his death on another pack, and killed his own mother!? He deserved to die!" I shout.

"I'm sorry I didn't  mean insulting Vera, I just, can't believe." He spoke softly. Mom immediately comforts him and I take that as my que to leave.

"I'll leave two to it." I say as I walk out. Now I just have a date to plan.

So let's see....dinner? Too common.  Cinema? Too cliché. Ice skating? It's the middle of the summer. Picnic? Meh. Mall? I don't wanna die. Park? We're not five years old. Road trip? Too long. GOT IT! No not really. How about on an air ballon then sky diving? Perfect.

I quickly arranged everything I needed before heading to bed. I'm exhausted! What a long day. I can't believe I finally found her. My Luna. My beautiful, cured, powerful, hybrid Luna. I never imagined my mate to be like this. But I'm happy with her and I'll never change her. My mate. My Vera.
