Like thieves in the night

Y/N's Yo-kai Friends: 98⬅

As the moon glimmers brightly on the sleepy town of Springdale, everyone starts to retire for a good night's sleep. Expect for those businesses that go for 24 hours... But while the humans are away, the Yo-kai will play. Many Yo-kai can be found in various places where humans have vacated for the day, such as the construction site Downtown. Some of those Yo-kai were a familiar thief trio, Pandle, Peckpocket, and Yoink, or as they like to be called, Panpockoink. These three are always getting themselves in trouble because they can never resist the urge to steal from others. Currently, they plot another one of their "big heists."

Yoink: Duh, so how's this plan supposed to work again?

Pandle: [Groan] We'll go over it one more time, for you, bag head.

Peckpocket: And for le public.

Pandle: I use my toothpick to unlock the window, while you and Peck set up the seesaw maneuver. Once it's open, Peck stands on the downed side before you jump on the other to launch him inside.

Peckpocket: Then, I steal ze food and whatever I fancy, n' we get the 'eck out of zere.

Yoink: Okay, now I got it.

Suddenly, the unfinished building starts to shake.

Yoink: What was that?

Peckpocket: Jus' some luse screws coming undone.

Yoink: Duh, ya sure? It felt like somethin' was climbin' the buildin'.

Pandle: Don't be paranoid. C'mon, the night's just begun.

And so, the trio rounded up their things and set off for their night of scallywaggery and hijinks, not wary of the wandering eye spying on them through an unfinished window.

The plan had been put into action. The trio had gotten Peckpocket inside via a makeshift catapult before he started swiping everything he could.

Pandle: [Quiet voice] Peck, hurry up. We're only s'pose to be here for five minutes.

Peckpocket: [Quietly] You cannon' rush perfection, petit ami.

The thieving bird Yo-kai then tried to make an exit through the window, only to get stuck.

Peckpocket: Ah. I am stook. 'Elp me.

Yoink: Duh, we told you to lay off the crossants.

Pandle and Yoink grabbed Peckpocket's hands before trying to pull him out of the window. Little did they know, their buffoonery was being watched from the shadows. They finally managed to pull out Peckpocket before they all dashed down the road.

Pandle: Good work, guys.

In the darkness of the night, a hand grabbed the lid of a trash can before hurling it at them like a discus. Hearing it closing in, Pandle and Peckpocket brace themselves.

Pandle: Duck!

Yoink: Where?

Grabbing their friend down to their level, they all took to the ground, avoiding the lid.

Peckpocket: Misse!

That's what he thought, but the lid hit a wall before ricocheting back towards them. The hurling lid hit all three, giving them serious headaches.
