August 17 was the day that surely changed everyone's lives. First let me start off by saying, I'm 5 months pregnant with Robs baby after Netflix and chill that one night. Another girl, who we have already decided to name Alunah Valeria Dyrdek. Milan was 7 months already and she's already started crawling, and pointing. I was happy with my baby girl. Rob was in New York, filming Ridiculousness, I had already taken maternity leave so I wasn't shooting.
Nadia has found a job at a school near her house, and she's done 5 wedding fittings already. But she wasn't around.. she is in Italy for a dance competition.
And Lola.. Well I'm sitting in the hospital with her right now. She is due tomorrow. She's made it a point not to loose her twins. She gave me an excited smile as she played with Milan's hair, adjusting the flowers.
"So.. You nervous?" I asked. She shook her head and then laughed.
"Alesea, Aaliviaa, Alunah and Milan can be best friends! Imagine how cute that's going to be!" She said and I nodded excitedly and then giggled.
"Can I tell you a secret..?" She asked, lowering her voice.
"Yeah.." I whispered, and moved closer to her.
"I'm a cancer survivor.. No one knows this, only you and Nadia know.." She said and I stared at her open mouthed.
"Did you go through the whole chemotherapy thing?" I asked and she nodded.
"So.. What was your excuse for your hair falling out and your regular hospital visits?" I asked.
"I told Adam that I cut all my hair off because I was supporting a friend with cancer.. and whenever I went to hospital, I lied and said that Nadia was having really bad tummy cramps, it was only 4 chemo treatment things so it wasn't a big issue.. He never found out and I'm scared to see his reaction if he ever finds out.." She said. I looked at her in shock.
"But you're 5 years free, right?" I asked. She nodded and signed seven.
"Well, your secret is safe with me!" I said, then I stood up and hugged her.
"So, what do you expect with your twins?" I asked, as she played with Milans little toes.
"I'm quite certain that they're going to be blonde, and tall because Adam is tall, uh.. Brown eyes I'm guessing.." She said and she smiled.
"Excited?" I asked and she shrugged.
"I don't know because every time I get excited, shit hits the fan and then I fuck up.." She said. I smiled at her.
"I'm sure your twins will be fine.. And when's the wedding?" I asked.
"Sometime in April.. I wanted to ask you if you'd like to be my maid of honour..?" She asked sweetly and I nodded.
"I'd love to be your maid of honour.." I said smiling. Looking at my diamond Rolex watch, I realised that I was supposed to drop Milan off at Pat and Genes house an hour ago.
"I've got to get going.. Milan is going to see her gran, I'll be back tomorrow morning.." I said.
"See you!" She said smiling, I waved goodbye and I left with Milan, then I dropped her off at Patty's house.
I drove home and I sat in my bed, thinking about Lola and her cancer story, until I fell asleep.
-the next morning-
I woke up extremely late, and Lola was probably wondering where I was. I picked my phone up from my bedside table and I looked through all my texts.
Majority were from Lola, and 1 from Rob. I opened Robs message first.
'Hey bubbles ❤️ Miss you and Milan so much! You need to come film, the audience misses you girls! Love you both.. See you soon 😊'
I smiled and I texted him back, then I got up and took a shower.
I jumped into my car and I drove to Pat and Genes house to fetch Milan.
We drove in the car for a good 45 minutes while jamming to a bunch of random songs. Then we arrived at the hospital and waited in the waiting room.
"Milan, can you say West Coast?" I asked while bouncing her on my knee. She shook her head slightly, and I smiled at her, then gave her a small hug.
A nurse walked towards us and smiled.
"Chanel?" She asked and I smiled and nodded my head.
"Lola is in room 307.." She said smiling. I thanked her and I made my way up to room 307.
I knocked on the door, then opened it. Adam stood next to Lola's bed where she was lying down next to 2 little babies.
"Come in.." She whispered, while smiling at me. I walked in slowly, closing the door behind me. Milan pointed at Lola and smiled at her. I sat on a chair next to the bed and Lola looked up at me.
"They are so precious.." I said as I looked at Alesea and Aaliviaa.
She smiled at me. Despite Lola being a bitch at times, she was an amazing individual, she cared so much about everyone, she raised her sister while raising herself. I couldn't help but look up to her..
Adam picked his 2 girls up and sat down with them. Lola laid in her bed and we pulled faces at each other, then we laughed. She sat up in her bed and grabbed her phone.
"How do you feel?" I asked, breaking the awkward silence.
"I don't know.. Happy I guess.." She said while laughing.
"But I think I'm done with having babies after these twins.. The pain is unbearable, I can't deal with it.." She said, tucking her hair behind her ear.
"They're so cute though.. They look a lot like Val when she was born.." I said and Lola agreed.
"I miss her so much." She said, and I held her hand tightly.
"It's ok, she's in a better place now.." I said.
"I hope she's enjoying herself, wherever she is.." Lola said.
