Sword Testing

Mystery's POV

Whisper and I and Whisper walked into one of the most common hunting grounds to test out her new sword. I watched her practice killing boars for a bit but then my mind wandered off elsewhere. Where did her sword go? She noticed that it was missing after the beach raid. What if she did leave it at the beach? 

"Mystery!" Whisper yelled at me, as I finally realized that she was standing in front of me giving me that look. 

"Uh- oh...sorry," I said awkwardly. I guess it did sorta seem like I was staring at her. My cheeks went bright red once I realized that and scratched the back of my neck, like I usually do in awkward situations. 

"You weren't paying attention were you" She added, putting her sword away. 

"I was just...umm....-" I don't know why I couldn't speak, I just couldn't for some odd reason. 

"Were you looking at that girl again?" She said, pointing to the two others that were walking by. 

"NO!......ummmm......I was just thinking...," I said and started to blush again. 

"Uh huh...." She said smirking a bit. My eyes went wide and I suddenly started moving my hands around stating 'no'. 

"I do NOT like her," I said since she was obviously implying that. 

"Okay, fine.... Whatever you say" She said, turning around and walking to a tree. I bit down on my bottom lip trying to hold back what I wanted to say but then just sat down next to the tree next to her. 

"So...how's that 'boyfriend' of yours doing?," I said playing around with the grass. She grabbed me by the shirt 

"I DON'T HAVE ONE YOU IDIOT!" she said as she let go of my shirt and stared at me. I chuckled and smirked.

"Sure....," I said sarcastically, somewhat looking at that beater dude and the girl. They walked up to us and said hi. We talked for a bit until one question just stood out. 

"Are you two dating?," Kirtio, the beater dude's name, asked interestedly. 

"NO," I said, not noticing that I was slightly blushing while Whisper was busy staring at him. 

"You know what, we should get going," I said as I grabbed Whisper's hand and leading her back into the town. I saw her wave a cute bye to that freak.

"So... Where are we going," she said glaring as I dragged her along. I looked around the town trying to find something to say. 

"How about we end the day, there's a small inn over there," I said. 

"Okay..," she said yawning then walking with me to the inn. We each got a room and spent the night there.
