A New Weapon

Mystery POV

I followed Whisper still with a small grin on my face. We walked passed the dude and his little girlfriend. My plan finally worked! Just had to make Whisper forget about that stupid dude. 

"You know just because he was a beta tester doesn't mean that hes a bad person, you don't have to be jealous" She said as she walked, but looked back with a smirk. 

"I'm not jealous," I said emphasizing the word 'not'. 

"Plus, he is not only a beater, he's a darn good cheater. I heard he hacked players to their death," I said walking along with her. I didn't want her to go rambling on about this random boy that has been mentioned of stealing lives. 

"Anyways, how am I gonna even afford a new sword?," I stated. 

"Changing the subject huh? I have my ways Mystery. Trust me you'll get a sword" She said, not looking back but I could still feel her smirking. 

"Oh really? What kinds of ways?," I replied ignoring the first question because truthfully, I can not get my way around that. 

"You'll see...." She said opening a door to some weird place with swords covering the walls. I casually walked into the store looking at all the awesome looking swords. I looked back at Whisper and then at the cashier. 

"So, what is this place?," I asked randomly out of the blue. 

"Not sure, some sword place?" Whisper said, walking to the cashier. I watched as the cashier took a step back. 

"Just lovely, walking into a random sword place that we don't know about," I said sarcastically. Whisper leaned on the counter then pointed to a sword on the wall .

"How much for the awesome black one?" She said squinting at it. 

"Only 100 cor, pretty cheap right? I try to make it pretty low for some of the newbies," the cashier said giggling at me. I rolled my eyes and felt even more stupid than before. Whisper walked around the counter, pushing the cashier to the wall.

"Lets rephrase that" She said, not letting go. 

"Oh! She's your girlfriend, right?," the cashier said pointing to me. I said nothing but silently laughed about how Whisper was acting. 

"Umm...100 cor please?," the cashier rephrased and Whisper let her go.

"You'll take 50 and be okay with it." She said putting 50 cor on the counter and walking to the sword. 

"U-umm...o-ok," the cashier stuttered a bit scared. I looked towards Whisper and then at the cashier. I shrugged my shoulders at the cashier when she gave me a threatening look. I didn't feel the need to say anything until we walked out the store. Whisper picked up the sword.

"Lets go Mystery," he said, walking out of the door. I followed Whisper but before we fully walked out the door, I glanced back at the cashier and sent an awkward wave of good-bye. When we started to walk further away I finally spoke up. 

"So...that's how you get all your gear isn't it?," I said chuckling. Whisper stopped 

"Depends." She said handing the sword to me. 

"Test it out, go get one of those boars." She added, pointing to a boar. I rested the sword in both hands testing out the weight so my attack doesn't get thrown of balance. I charged at the sword, activating my sword skill and almost at the very last second, hit the boar. I didn't do enough damaged because I did it too late. I sighed and went to attack it again. This time, I made a clear shot and put my fist up into the air, proud of my actions. Whisper clapped "see no lame sword, now the chicks will think your even cuter." She said smiling then looking back at that guy. I blushed for a bit then looked at the direction where Whisper was looking. Now that it was more toward daylight, I could see them more clearly. The dude had black hair just like me, but with some sort of black trench coat. The girl had long blonde hair and a cute little outfit. She caught me staring then giggled while I just embarrassingly scratch the back of my neck. Whisper looked at her feet then sat in the grass "ever been in love?" she said then laying on her back and looking up at the clouds. Mystery got taken aback by Whisper's sudden comment. He looked down at Whisper than sighed. "Nope, and he's taken by the way, but if you want go talk to him. I won't stop you this time. Just go and see who he really is," I said to Whisper while she had this dreamy look in her eyes. "I DO NOT like him" she said rising to her feet. "but i guess i will go talk to him..." She said walking towards them.
