What Was That..?

Whispers POV:

I woke up that morning, but remembering something. It was Mystery... He said something last night... I remember it I- I- "He likes me....?" I jumped out of my bed not really knowing what to think, am I supposed to let him down easy or tell him the truth.... I looked at mystery, who was sleeping on the chair next to my bed. He was obviously up late. I got up and put the covers over him, then walking in the bathroom and looking in the mirror. "He loves me...." I said staring at myself in the mirror but looking back at Mystery who was waking up. "Morning" I said looking at him with an awkward look wanting to say something more but I just couldn't. "U-uh, morning," he stuttered and his cheeks went bright red. I walked over and sat on my bed "I- uh... Mystery......" I said looking at my hands not able to speak. "Whisper, is something wrong?," he asked worried. "No." I said looking up. "Its just that last night.... You know, you sat on my bed and said something..." I looked at him, gripping the bed beneath me. His whole faces told me he was shocked. "I-I uh......," he stuttered and scratched the back of his neck, alarmed. "I-it was...n-nothing...," he said staring at me, still utterly shocked  his cheeks were even brighter than ever. "No it wasn't nothing..." I said still looking at him. "Mystery," I said getting up and pulling him to his feet. Grabbing his hands I looked up at him "I love you too..."  I said hugging him, and feeling his arms wrap around me made my heart flutter. Mystery was obviously shocked, I could tell from him being tense at first in the hug. He loosened up and put his head on my shoulder, still having his arms wrapped around me. I kissed his cheek not wanting to ever let go, I was scared. Of this stupid game, I really was... But I felt safe in Mystery's arms. I felt like this horrible game was so much better with Mystery. "W-what do you think will happen when we get back in the real world?," he said with a hint of sadness in his voice. "Is it strange that I wanna stay here...with you?," he asked. "Mystery, I want to stay here with you too" I replied putting my head on his chest. Mystery closed his eyes and hugged me even tighter obviously not wanting to let go one bit. I squinted my eyes at the sun that shined threw the window. "Can we just stay here for the day... I don't want to fight these stupid virtual beasts. I just want to go home..." I said looking up at him. "Of course, it's good to take a break anyway," he said. "Mystery, will you still love me even when this is over....?" I asked looking out the window at all the other people walking around. He turned my head towards him, he stared into my eyes, "I will never stop loving you, Whisper...," he said. I stepped back out of the hug and grabbed his hand. "Me neither... Promise you will find me after this is over." I said looking in his sweet eyes. He grabbed my hand and looked at me, "I promise...," he said, putting another loose strand of hair behind my ear. "Why don't we go find a place to picnic" I asked. "How about around this little willow tree I found while walking around one day?," he said with a smile.
