Chapter 1

Babhi - older brothers wife
Bhai - older brother

Kavya's P.O.V

I ran for my life down the street to get to the hospital.
Just 10 minutes ago I recived a call from Naina babhi that mum colapsed on the floor.

I just reached the hospital but I couldn't see the reception. I was panting and I couldn't breathe.
I found the reception and I asked for Preeti Singh. The nurse took me to mum and I saw bhai talking to the doctor so I ran to him and he embraced me in a hug.

"Kavya, mum and Naina are inside. I need to speak to the doctor." He said it as if he was trying to tell me everything was going to be ok.

"Mum! Are you ok? What happened? Did you get hurt?" I spoke so fast and I could see mum smiling.

"Kavya bety. How many times have i told you to speak clearly?" She  laughed, then I laughed , then we both laughed. Then she started coughing and drank water. I could feel tears filling up my eyes.

"Mum I need to go to the bathroom." I didn't really but I couldn't let her see me cry. I knew babhi saw my eyes filled with tears.

I went outside, sat on the floor and cried and cried.

I felt someone tap me on the shoulder, it was Rohan bhai and Naina babhi.

"Whats wrong?" I asked them. They looked at me and babhi broke into tears. She put her head on bhai's shoulder.
I got up and hugged her then I started to cry. Bhai held us both and took us to the room to sit.

Mum had just fallen a sleep, we stayed there in the room and we all looked at her. Me babhi were crying while bhai tried to hold it in.

"It's ok. We going to get through this together." Babhi reassured bhai. Then she hugged him and he cried into her shoulder.

After a while we all fell asleep. I slept on the sofa with my head in babhi's lap and she slept leaning on bhai's shoulders.

During the night I woke up to beeping. I ran to mum then realised it was my phone. I went and sat next to mum taking her hand in mine. I fell asleep with her hand on my head.

Again I woke up because I felt my mums hand move. I woke up in an instant. She started coughing so i gave her water. Thays when bhaiya and babhi woke up. They came and stood next to mum.

"Kavya, Rohan I need you to promise me something. Will you?" She sounded so weak.

"Yes mum anything. We promise we'll do it!" I said as bhaiya stood and kissed mums hand with a nod.

"I want you to go and meet your father."

Silence.

Rohan's P.O.V

I felt Naina get up so I got up too. Mum had woken up too so we went over to her. "Kavya, Rohan I need you to promise me something. Will you?" Mum said it with as much energy as she could. I wanted to break into tears.

"Yes mum anything. We promise we'll do it!" Kavya said with so much love and passion. I kissed my mums hand thinking about how I would do anything for her. And my little sister and wife would too.

"I want you to go and meet your father." My heart shivered at the sound of the words she said. I looked over at Kavya and she was about to say something but i cut her off.

"Of course we will mum. But what for he hurt all of us soo much?" I asked politely not wanting to hurt her feelings.

"Well to reconsile and I know that my Naina will make sure it happens." She said sweetly as she kissed Naina's forhead.

"Kavya, Rohan and Naina I love you all and I want you three to meet your father. This will be Naina's first time I also want you children to have no regrets unlike me. Promi-" then started to cough. Kavya poured water for her and the nurse and doctor rushed in.

Everyone was rushing around then...

Naina's P.O.V

Everyone ran around trying to get mum to stop coughing the suddenly there was only silence and the only sound was the beeping of the machine.

She....was....gone!

Authors P.O.V

Kavya screamed and shouted while Rohan took her out of the room followed by Naina. While in tears they tried to calm her down but to no avail.

She shouted and screamed and cried

"MUMMA! MUMMA! WAIT DON'T LEAVE. AAGGH COME BACK! YOU'RE ALL LIARS SHE IS STILL ALIVE!" Before she could say anything else Rohan grabbed her into his arms while she sobbed her lungs out his shoulder.

Naina fell on the floor next to them and cried aswell. The hall was empty where they were crying. At that moment the doctors rolled out Preeti to take her to the dead body room. As they were taking her Kavya ran after them and they stopped. She lifted the cover and fell on the floor in tears.

When they got home every went to a seperate corner of the huge house Rohan bought them. And they all broke down and burst into tears.

Because her mother single handedly brought them up Kavya always did what she asked so straight away she booked tickets to punjab for after the funeral.

I know this chapter was a bit of downer but it leads onto the main part of my book.

First of all Eid Mubarak to everyone celebrating. In the UK eid is tomorrow but wherever you are and whenever you are celebrating I still hope all your du'aas are answered.
