Forbidden

Chapter 12

*Elsa's P.O.V*

We chugged down our hot chocolates, Elizabeth paid her friend and we went about our day.
After a few minutes of riding. Elizabeth stopped off at an inn.
Why are we here? I thought to my self before saying it aloud.
"We aren't staying anywhere. You two are."
"What?!" Anna and I said in unison.
"You heard me. Where I'm going is dangerous. Too dangerous for me to bring along the Queen and princess of Arendelle. That is my job as your personal guard, is it not?"
I nodded. "Alright. Fine we'll stay here. But if you aren't back by sun down, we are coming after you." She laughed and agreed.
That wasn't enough for me. I pulled her off to the side.
"Promise me you'll be careful."
She nodded.
"I promise. Don't worry so much, snowflake. I can take care of myself. And I mean it this time."
She caressed my face with her right hand. I nuzzled into the touch.
"Please stay here. I don't want you put into harms way. Because, damn it, I love you snowflake." She lifted my chin and pulled me into an intoxicating kiss. I was tempted to graze my tongue along her bottom lip and ask for entrance. To my surprise, she was way ahead of me. Before we knew it, our hands were tangled on each other's hair,and her hands had drifted to my waist. When we finally pulled apart we were gasping for air.
"Now you have to come back. I could get used to that." She laughed.
"I'll definitely come back for that. Now. I have to go... I'll see you later." She kissed my forehead and ran out to Everest. I watched her ride off and it felt like a part of me rode off with her. I knew that if she didn't come back, I would have nothing to live for. Yeah I had Anna and the kingdom. But, without her. With out my Firefly. I was nothing.
