I ran down to the stables to find Anna grooming Everest.
"I think he likes you." I said as she turned and realized who I was.
"Oh my gosh! Fire fly!" She jumped into my arms, almost strangling me in a tight hug.
"Hey, Little red."
"I missed you!"
"I missed you too! Hey, you want to go hunting with me and Everest?"
Her eyes went wide with excitement.
"Yes! That would be amazing!"
"Great. Just don't tell your sister. She'd kill me.

I grabbed a bow and a sheath full of arrows. I motioned Anna to hop on to the back of Everest and we rode off into the woods.
"Stay back." I whispered to Anna as I kept my eye on a large stag. I pulled an arrow out ,loaded it into the bow and took my aim.
I heard a rustling and quickly turned to the sound. I saw the glowing yellow eyes from the bushes. It lunged at me before I could release the arrow. I heard Anna scream. I tried to roll out from underneath the monster. It was no use. I put my hand on it's chest and focused on heat. Within seconds the monster was squealing in pain on the forest floor. I shot one last arrow into the beast and walked towards Anna.
"Let's get you back to the palace."
