Forbidden

Chapter 4

I laid down on my bed in the guest room that Elsa had asked to be prepared for me. I heard Kai knock on the door.
"Lady Elizabeth. The Queen would like to see you in the library."
I groaned.
"Alright. Tell her I'll be right there. Thank you, Kai."
I slipped into a pair of black tights, a loose white tank top and my favorite pair of black riding boots.

I cracked open the door of the library and found Elsa staring intently at her fingers.
"Sit" She commanded. Of course I did.
"I'm sorry I snuck Anna out into the woods and then put her life at risk.I had no idea that we would get attacked! But I know you're probably really mad at me and I know I kind of deserve it but I did protect her so I should get at least some points for that."
She stood silent and stared at me for awhile before a smile crept up her lips. Followed by a burst of laughter.
"You haven't changed a bit have you fire fly?" Okay. Wasn't expecting that.
"You aren't mad?"
"Of course not. You saved her. I appreciate you taking care of her. Which is why I asked you down here."
"I'm sorry. I'm not following."
"Anna boasted alot about your fighting skills I could think of no better person to make our personal guard."
"Really?!"
"Only if you want to."
"Of course! How could I possibly turn that down?"
I pulled her in for a hug. She pulled back a little unil she was looking me in the eyes. Flickering from time to time between my eyes and my lips.
"I missed you, fire fly."
"I missed you too, snow flake."
My heart began pounding as I watched her slowly lean in. Our lips were 1 or 2 centimeters from each other when we heard Anna walk in.
"Hey guys- was I interrupting something? "
We quickly pulled away, both of our cheeks filled with blush.
"No.Of course not." She said quickly. I cleared my throat.
"I better go see how Everest is doing."
"Oh! Um... before you go, I had Gerda put your armor in your room."
"Thank you."
