• AARON'S POV •
Each day we come to school there's new notes on our lockers but no one has made any moves other than that. I've decided to walk Devon to every class just incase, despite nothing happening. The only person that seems suspicious to me would be Kelsey. I take down the notes every day, and every day tell Devon that it's lies. He listens of course everyday and after a peck on the lips we go to our first class. Lyndsey and June would come and tell us as well if they saw new notes and I would go take them down. Honestly it's just pathetic at this point.
I don't even think Devon cares anymore. He laughs with me on occasion when they write something really funny. God, I love him so much.
Right now we're sitting at my sisters lunch table, only because Jeff isn't here today and I can handle the other two. Dev is showing the girls a magic trick he knows making me smile at him while Lucas and Michael try to talk to me. "You know we saw Rob putting some of those notes on your lockers as well?" Michael says and I finally give them some of my attention.
"It's not surprising. He's been warned though, I doubt he'll try anything." I say glancing at them.
I hear a squeal, "how did you do that!?" June and Lyndsey yell earning looks from around the lunch room while Dev grins and says he can't tell them. I kiss his head making him smile at me.
"If it does get out of hand you guys can come to us for back up." Lucas says and I turn back to them.
"Yeah a few guys on the basket ball team have seen you guys around and even though they think you're pretty intimidating they'd have no problem defending you guys like your own army. They hate rob and his legion of jackasses. Well most everyone does but they have bad blood with him." Michael adds and I think about it.
After a while I nod, "fine, but only for Dev. I don't need protection. " they nod.
"What are you agreeing too?" Dev asks leaning over my shoulder. I chuckle and ruffle his hair.
"Don't worry about it, do the magic trick to me." I tell him and he nods. He shuffles his pack of cards before me quickly then fans them and tells me to take a card.
"Look at the card but don't show me. Then put it back in the deck." He tells me and I nod. Pulling out the ace of clubs Lucas leans and gets a look as well before I place it back in the deck. He closes them then places it behind his back and probably starts shuffling them. After a moment he pulls the pile out and holds it in front of me, "take the first card." He tells me and I do, lifting it up and seeing it's the ace of clubs. "Is it your card?" He asks hopeful and I smirk before nodding.
"How did you do that!?" Lucas and Michael both exclaim while I give Dev the card back and pull him to me and kiss his forehead. "Seriously, explain that to us."
He sighs, "ok fine. When A gave the card back to me I remember where it was in the deck and made it stick out very slightly but he couldn't tell. When I put it behind my back I pulled the card out and shuffled the rest before placing that card on top making it look like I somehow managed to get his card without even knowing it. What even was your card?" He asks turning to me and I laugh.
"Ace of clubs babe." I tell him and he smiles. "Do you have any others?" I ask him and he shakes his head.
"Nope, I actually was thinking about it in class and decided to see if I could try and do it. Looks like it worked." He says and starts shuffling his cards again. He then distributes them between all of us. I just push my cards back to him. He looks at me questioningly
