An annoying sound along with the sound of my phone vibrating woke me up. I stretched my arms and opened my eyes, immediately realizing I'm not on my bed, or in a bed, and I'm definitely not on my house. I looked to the side and saw that I leaning on the blond boy, and he has an arm around me. My heart started beating faster, because of Luke and because of how worried my parents must be right now. I mentally slapped myself for not telling them.

I unlocked my phone and saw that I have 25 missed calls and 35 texts. Fuck. I decided to wake Luke up.

"Luke" I shook his arm "Luke, wake up."

"Hm?" he made a sound like if he has just waken up. I mean, duh.

"I just wanted to tell you it's seven a.m., and I apparently spent the night here, and my parents are freaking out, oh my God!" I started panicking even more.

"Chill, for the love of God, you just spent a night out, big deal." He said unconcerned.

"Big deal? Big deal?! Are you aware of how worried my parents are? Look, I'm going to go." I stood up from the couch and walked to the front door, searching for money for a cab or for the bus in the way there, but I didn't find any "Shit." I mumbled and got out of the house, hearing steps behind me.

"How are you going to go home?" Luke asked.

"Walking."

"I'll take you home." He grabbed some car keys from the table next to the door.

"Why are you being so helpful?" I stupidly asked. Why couldn't I just accept it and shut my mouth.

"I'm trying to help you and you just think about the reason of it! I'm not friendly, neither do I want to be, but I was fucking trying to help you!" he screamed, scaring the living slut out of me.

I was going to open my mouth to speak, but he interrupted me by going inside and slamming the door shut. I turned around and started walking home, already regretting making him that question, even more when the unfamiliar cold air of this morning hit me and I realized I left my jacket in Luke's house.

I started running because at that velocity I wasn't going to get home on time to get ready. On the way there it started raining. The rain is between light and moderate, but it's still uncomfortable. I started running faster and by twenty five past seven I was at my front door.

I knocked, knowing my keys were in my jacket so there's no need to try to find them, and I the door almost immediately opened, revealing two worried parents.

"Catherine! Oh my God baby, where were you?" my mom hugged me way too tightly, making me struggle a little bit to breathe.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I just feel asleep there and then-" I was going to tell what happened, but then my dad interrupted me.

"You... you know?"

I cringed at the thought of having sex with Luke "No, of course not!"

"What happened then?" my mom asked.

"I went to Luke's house, my school project partner, and we worked on it for a few hours and when he finished he made dinner and he asked me if I wanted to eat, and because it wasn't late I accepted."

"Yes, we know the story until there."

"Then," I continued "after eating the dinner we just sat down for a little bit on the living room, and then 'The Fault In Our Stars' was on, and I accidentally fell asleep there." I finished explaining.
