Chapter 11

Once her lips touched mine all the control I had was gone. She press her small frame against mine struggling to keep balance on the tips of her toes. I wrapped my arms around her small back. Her soft lips set fire to mine, I plunged my tongue into her mouth deepening the kiss. I could hear her gasp as my hand slipped lower cupping her round butt. I smiled inwardly loving the effect I had on her. I trailed kisses down her throat, my mouth began to water as her sweet aroma filled my nostrils.

Fuck, I'm getting hard

Slowly but painfully set her down, feeling cold as soon as her lips left mine. Looking into her eyes all I saw was the same raw need I had for her.

"Rose you were right, there has always been something between us. But I can't be with you" she pouted about to protest but I cut her off "shh just listen, the night I hit you with my car, you were dying. And I almost let you, but then somehow you spoke to me, asked me to help you. Without a second thought I gave you my blood. I healed you, but in doing so I was connected to you. I could feel your emotions, you called to me some days, which is how I ended up in your room that night you walked out of the bathroom " her cheeks turn bright pink at the memory, she cleared her throat before saying

"What does this have to do with why we can't be together? I don't care that you're a vampire Lucas, I don't blame you for what happened to my parents. Like you said my father had something Constantine wanted. I doubt you rushing to us would have saved my family, so much makes sense now , feeling your anger "

I looked at her shock evident on my face.

"Yes, I could feel your emotions to, I still do. I feel that you want me just as bad as I want you. I used to ignore it not understanding what these feelings were but now I feel them clear as day" she smiled brightly as if she had won a grand price. But I knew I wasn't some prize, I was a curse. And I wouldn't allow my demons to take her down with me.

"You don't understand, I WON'T let you get stuck with me. Not with Constantine still roaming free, and now he knows about you. He will make sure to find out who you are to me. Then find a way to hurt you or worse! Just to spite me." She angrily stepped back crossing her arms over her chest

"There you go trying to make life's decisions for me! I'm not a child! I know the risks! And who know if you'll ever catch him Lucas! Are we never allowed to be together?!"

I clench my jaw in frustration, this stubborn girl wasn't going to back down easily.

"Your right I don't know if I will ever catch him, but I have made it my life's mission to take him down no matter how long it takes. Tile someone pins me down plunges a stake through my heart or knocks my head clean off my shoulders, I will never stop, the way I feel about you won't change that."

I felt the pain of rejection clear in my heart, and almost recanted my words. This was for the best, the only way to ensure her safety. Her eyes misted, but she simply straightened

"So now what?" She spoke dryly

"You and Raven will leave tonight, to a place I know you'll be safe. Somewhere you can hide out for a Few weeks them start traveling like you wanted. You won't ever have to see me again."

I bit my bottom lip trying to hold back tears. So that's it? He thought he could ship me off somewhere!? Hurt, anger and sadness all building inside of me, I pushed him as hard as I could. I letting out a sob as he stared at me in disbelief

"YOU CANT DO THIS TO ME, I WON'T RUN AWAY LIKE YOU DID!" I screamed. His jaw suddenly clenched, his eyes turning blood red. I took a few steps backwards the night of my family death crashing down on me. I took a few more fearful steps back and he smiled evilly

"Your scared aren't you I can smell it"
He sniffed the air and licked the fangs touching his bottom lip "THIS is who I really am, we can never be. I have killed my fair share of people in my life time. For my own personal gain. How can you bare to be with the very thing that ripped your family from you?"

I felt my heart thrashing wildly in my chest, not noticing my body had begun to shake. His word sending chills up my spin as his blood red eyed bore holes into me. I knew he was doing this to scare me but I couldn't help but be affected. Those eyes reminded me of him. I swallowed the knot that had formed in my throat. Wiping the remaining tears that stained my face, I would not be made to look weak, as I did that terrible night. I began to step forward, moving a shaky hand to his face, confusion evident on his face. As my fingers touched around his eyes, my fingers traced the black vans now showing around his red eyes.

"I am scared, but not of you. I know you won't hurt me Lucas" I began to trace my hand down his face almost reaching his lip to touch his fangs before he caught my wrist. Right in front of my eyes his face turned back to normal.

"I'm doing this to protect you"

So yea I know it's been a wile, sorry. But I'm trying to add faces to characters just to make things a little more visual for you guys. So give me some ideas for Rose's character. Don't forget to vote ! 💕💖
