Chapter 14

I walked into the the bar ,
Scanning the crowd for him. I spotted him at the far end , lip locking with a brunette. I felt a surge of anger as I moved towards him

"What the fuck are you doing Lucas"

"What does it look like Raven" I felt my blood boil as he began kissing the women again. I shouldn't feel angry But it was like he was betraying Rose, she was like a sister, and I knew how much she loved him. I pushed them apart commanding the girl to leave

"How would Rose feel if she saw you like this" anger evident in his face he pushed me backwards

"She doesn't give a fuck! She left with that mutt!" I stared into the hurt eyes of my best friend as he said this. I heard the whole altercation with the future Alpha and Rose , but decided not to step in thinking it was best they figure it out on there own. I sighed heavily placing a hand on his shoulder

"She loves you, you fool"

"Well that's not what I saw  as I interrupted there make out session. " He slurred, I could tell he had one to many as he began to sway in front of me. Shocked from his confession I thought of a reasonable reply

"She's confused Lucas, I know she loves you, but you continue to push her away. Just except what you have together and you won't lose her. Come on man it has been a week already"

He huffed angrily throwing another shot of whoever he was drinking down his throat.

"Don't be stupid, she better off with the mutt anyways, but I can still sulk in my own misery"

"Are you daft man!? He's gunna find his own mate one day, he could never give her the life she deserves" realization dawned on him, he had been so caught up in his self pitty he hadn't stopped to think of that fact. He growled with fury, that mutt was going to use her then break her heart. He'd rip him to shreds before that happened,  he stood abruptly ready to storm into the wolf's den and take back his women before his friend stopped him.

"Woah there prince charming,  let's  calm down before you start a war. " before he could say another word I stiffened,  I felt  her before I smelled the lilac perfume she always wore. And from the way Lucas face turned in disgust he knew she was here as well. We both turned to face Mara, Constantine favorite little pet, and one of the  strongest, maybe even stronger then Lucas and I. She wore an innocent face, dress in all black like always. Her green eyes piercings our souls.

"What the fuck do you want bitch" said Lucas with fury, we both knew exactly why she was here. The she devil had came to investigate who Rose was. Now I wasn't the type to put my hands on any women. But this snake in front of us , oh I'd put fist, boot and teeth to her existence. If only I had the power to rip her limb from limb, I'd bask in the glory of her end. She pretended to be offended  placing hand exaggeratedly on her chest

"Oh come on boys don't act like you didn't miss me" she smiled evilly swaying her hips as she walked closers to me

"I know you've missed Rav" the seductive voice she tried to use as  she used the nick name ,made my stomach turned. She went to caress my face , I snatched her hand away before she madd contact.  Backing up without a word, she pouted, her pink lips making the most cute face. How can something so beautiful be so evil.

"Oh Rav don't tell me your still mad about your sister, I was only following orders. " the mention of my sister had me barreling forward as obtrusive to strangle through wrench. She swiftly ducked away , laughing evilly.  I felt Lucas pull me back, no longer drunk.

"Don't give her the pleasure of getting under your skin. That's what she wants." I breathed in heavily trying to calm myself,  a sick light in her green eyes showing she enjoyed my pain. I had trusted her once, even loved her. But she betrayed me in one of the worst ways. She had been working for Constantine  the whole time trying to get close to me to spy on Lucas. My sister was a witch , and she always had a bad feelings about Mara. Tried to warn me a few times,  but I wouldn't listen. I was head over heals, and my blindness lead to her death. Her evil smile wooded as If she new what I was thinking but before she could father infuriated me Lucas began to speak

" We don't have the patience for your silly games Mara, what do you want." She turned her attention to him  laughing,  my skin crawled at the spund.

"You know why I'm here , where's your pretty little girlfriend?" She looked around as if she'd find her hiding behind us.

"I have no idea what the fuck your talking about, tell that bastard to stop being a coward and face me" He said trying to change the subject, she clicked her teeth clearly annoyed

"Don't play coy , if you won't tell me then I guess I'll have to find her myself. Heard she's a tasty little human to, might have to see for my self" before I had time to register Lucas had her by the throat,  her face turned bright pink as he lifted her off her feet

"Get near her and I'll make sure that's the last thing you do with your pitiful immortal life" his eyes burned red , canines extended to there full lenth. Maybe I had underestimated his strength as Mara visibly struggled to get out of his grasp. He tossed her back sending her flying to the floor. She hacked trying to catch her breath.

"You'll regret that you little shit, I'm going to bleed your bitch dry then send her to you in pieces!" She shrieked as she got to her feet storming out.
