"What the hell did you do to Luke?!" Calum shouted barging through people and slammed my locker door, standing in front of me.
"What do you mean? I didn't do anything." I spat back and he rolled his eyes grabbing onto my shoulders and shaking me.
"He came to my house last night in the pouring rain and asked to stay there because you pretended to care about him Parker, and he needs somewhere to stay. Also he told me he was at the hospital because he cut his fucking wrists open." He shouted but not as loud as before.
"Oh you think it's my fault he slit his wrists? You think I just handed him a razor and said oh kill yourself since my mum doesn't want you to stay here anymore and you have to go live with your dad. This isn't my fucking fault so stop blaming me." I said pushing past Calum and down the hall.
"Oh and I did care about him. As in past tense because I don't a shit about him anymore. He pushed me out when I finally opened up to him so f.uck you both." I shouted before walking into my next class.
----
"Ok babe, calm down. None of this is your fault alright, Calum just cares about people a lot and he was mad. He knows this wasn't your fault." Michael said as I sat with him and Ashton at lunch as Ashton nodded agreeing with Michael on the situation."This is why I don't open up to people. They just throw me out. He claims I only care about him because of his dad but I actually did. God I hate him." I said leaning into Michael as he wrapped an arm around me.
"Wanna come hang out with me and Ash later tonight?" Michael asked after I calmed down.
"Uh yeah. Let me think about." I said and he nodded kissing my check.
"Alright well call me later. I gotta get going, I love you." Michael said standing up and kissing me softly on the lips.
"Love you too." I mumbled as he walked away leaving me alone as Ashton followed and I could see Calum glaring at me from a distance. You fûcked up bad Parker.
To-Calum
we need to talk. meet me at the café down the street?? my treat..?From-Calum
Fine.. you get 40 minutes tops. i'll tell Luke I have plans... let me drop him off at the house first.I sighed out of relief when Calum agreed to talking with me. I truly felt bad that Luke thinks I didn't care about him and that he thought the only way he could get through this was by hurting himself.
I grabbed my bag and slammed my locker shut and made my out of the school and down the street to the café where we use to hang out.
I sat down at a booth by a window towards the back and waited for Calum to come in. I heard the bell above the door ring, signaling that someone had come in and I looked to see Calum looking around before he spotted me and stuck his hands in his pockets as I made my way towards him.
"Can I buy you a drink first?" I asked walking up to the cashier.
I ordered us both two medium sized coffees and went back to sit in the corner booth again.
"So why are we here?" Calum asking siping his warm coffee and looking up at me.
"Because I want you to know that I truly feel bad about Luke. When I went to go see him at the hospital he told me to get out and leave him alone because I didn't care about him and I only cared about him when I found out about his dad." I said as Calum slowly nodded.
"Ok but Parker, you do realize that is kinda true? He told me you came over one night when you know, his dad was home and he said that ever since then you've been nice because you went through the same thing. Honestly Parker if you hadn't known about that do you really think you guys would be friends? Or would he still be an annoying pain in the ass?" Calum asked keeping his voice low unlike at school.
"I mean I guess you have a point. But I feel like I do care about him." I said frustrated. Calum reached over and took my hands in his.
"Yes, I understand that but Luke doesn't. You admit you started caring about him when you found out what happened but it doesn't mean you're gonna treat him different right? You'll treat him like you treat me and Ash." Calum said as I sighed
"Can you please tell Luke I'd like to talk to him sometime?" I asked as Calum nodded.
"Thank you for trying to make this right Parks. It means a lot." He said pulling away from my hands and taking another sip of his coffee.
"On another topic. How is my little Ava?" He asked smiling. Calum was always the one to babysit her and I understand what you're thinking. Why doesn't Michael just watch her? I mean he is the father but she just prefers to have her time with Michael on his nights and she loves Calum.
"She misses you. I can plan a date for me and Michael sometime this week when my mum is working so you can come babysit her again. She'd love that." I said smiling as Calum quickly nodded.
"Of course. I might swing by sometime before then but I'm up for anytime. Have you told her yet that you're actually her mom?" Calum asked and I shook my head.
"I wanna do it with Michael soon though. She's just getting older so I figure we should get it over with now." I said and he nodded looking at the time.
We sat there for at least 3 hours just catching up before I decided I should probably get home and see the girls.
"It was nice catching up with you. I'll find sometime you can swing by to see the girls. Thank you again for coming to talk to me." I said as he pulled me into a hug and I wrapped my arms around him as he swayed us side to side.
"Oh course Parks. I'm glad we did too. Let me known when you figure something out and I'll talk to Luke." He said letting go and I pulled back.
"Ok I love you. See you soon." I said waving before going out to my car and drove back home.
I sat in the driveway for a few minutes before pulling out my phone and slowly typed out the message before hitting send.
