SANTANA LOPEZ

1 WEEK LATER

Santana and Brittany spent the whole day suiting up clothes for their trip to Central City. It was farther than the map pictured out to be but the bright side is that a bus that contained other graduates under Brittany's course at MIT will pick them up. Santana wasn't ecstatic about that. She was actually hopeful that someone in that bus was different from the MIT students so she wouldn't be left out. She wasn't brainy and she didn't want anyone to steal Brittany away from her. Unless...

Santana shuts her suitcase close. "Brittany?"

"Yeah?" She looks up at Santana from the floor. She had spent the day fiddling with her notebooks as if reviewing for some kind of test but it was quite the opposite, she was reviewing for her soon to be friends on the bus.

"Do we really have to get on that bus? I mean, we have a car, much roomy than a bus." Santana coaxes in a whiny fashion.

"Well, that bus really is going to be filled with four other people who may or may not be braniacs. Why are we talking about this?" She stands up and joins Santana on the bed.

Santana didn't want Brit to think that she was having second thoughts of joining her, even if it meant throwing a slushie at Sebastian when they meet. She promised Brittany that she was her first priority but how can she handle being around her kind?

"I just...I don't want anyone to steal you away from me okay? We just got married a year ago and your graduating tomorrow and this trip. I don't want to be left alone." Santana looks Brittany in the eyes, she admired how blue they were and how they always sparkled even if she was sad.

Brittany's shoulders slump, as if relieved. She gives Santana a reassuring pout-slash-smile and leans in to give her a quick peck on her lips. "Hey, I know you promised you'd follow me wherever, and that you'd be my rock and I will promise you the same. This trip isn't about me moving on, I married you for better or for worst and this, this trip is the least of that. No one will steal me away from you even if you have to chain me to your body. I love you Santana. We can carpool if you really want me that close."

Santana looks at her wide in complete admiration, leaning in to kiss her passionately. "I love you too Brittany and thank you for accepting my stupid favor. I also promise that you won't need me at this trip because I will be busy looking for a 7-Eleven so I can give Sebastian his payback."

Brittany starts to laugh. Oh, how she loves her so much.

"Patricia Anne Piccolo. Bachelor of Science, Major in Aeronautics and Astronautics."

Santana sits down between sobbing and over excited families as they bawl out tears of joy, awaiting one of the most special days of their children, parents, husbands and wives graduating-more like passing-a college degree. She couldn't help but feel emotional too, having Brittany being a step above her. Brittany did keep her promise, having to leave MIT during her early years after high school so that she could join Santana in a community college and get her master's degree at MIT afterwards. She was a splendid woman, and Santana had no regrets marrying her.

"Brittany Susan Pierce. Bachelor in Science, Major in Mathematics, Master's Degree."

Just like the other people with their families whenever their special family member is called, Santana gets onto her feet and claps as loud as she can, sending her beautiful wife flying kisses as she accepts her diploma. Santana new Brittany's weakness was academics but she was able to make it after having to spend another two years in college just to get that finishing master's degree of hers even if she won't be using that brain of hers in a long time knowing Brittany, is a girl of the arts and not the math's.
