CHAPTER 10

BARRY ALLEN

He rushed towards the only place he knew where she would be. He felt so different. It was if some new source of energy now flowed through his blood and he felt like he could outrun a train.

Nine months had been wasted. What has changed when he was unconscious? He knew his father was still in jail, he knew he was still in Central City and that the Particle Accelerator didn't completely make the city explode into a crater. That thought made him think about what actually happened that night.

He stood at the entrance, viewing into the familiar café that he had been to so many times, it felt like he could drive there with his eyes closed. He finally walked in and for the first time, it felt his heart started running faster than lightning. Her comforting and overwhelming expression made it obvious that she missed him. And he missed her as well. She rushed over and he caught her into a warming hug. She pulls away and makes sure he's actually there in the flesh.

"You're awake!" She breathes out, not believing it. "Why didn't S.T.A.R Labs call us?"

"I just woke up." He replied with a satisfied grin.

"Should you even be on your feet?"

"Iris, I'm okay." He insisted with the same satisfied grin. He did feel okay, better even. He felt so much better for someone who was just in a coma for most of the year. Iris looked directly into his eyes, hers filled so much with concern and love as if she was seeing an old friend she thought had long gone passed away.

And then, her line of sight changed towards the door, her expression turns from concerned to fright. She pushes away from Barry and approaches the man.

"You." She points in acquisition. Barry turns around to look at the commotion until realizing the enormous plot twist since he got up from S.T.A.R Labs. It was like looking into a mirror, a splitting image of him stood right in front of him and the matter with Iris blocking them from each other felt like nothing.

"Sebastian Smythe." He nods his head towards him, completely ignoring Iris and the fact that they looked exactly alike.

"Barry Allen."

SANTANA LOPEZ

Santana picks up some sort of vial that was placed on top of the table in front of her. "What does this do?" She asks Caitlin, looking into the red colored vial.

"Nothing that concerns you messing up my experiment. Now leave me at peace." Caitlin snaps for the third time but her sass was nothing against Santana. She was getting bored of waiting for Sebastian to pick her up. He said he'd be over at ten when Cisco phoned him but to Santana it felt like an hour. It just felt right to ignore the White girl since Gay Jesus was already boring Santana.

"So, tell me about your wife. Which one of you graduated from MIT?" Caitlin started a conversation while looking into a microscope. She reached for another vial only to have her hand slapped away by Dr. Snow.

"She did." She sighs, propping herself up on the table and avoiding Caitlin's vials and potions. "She's so smart she doesn't even know it."

"What do you mean?" Caitlin looks up from her glass sample.

"She's like this unique human being that just brings up these stupid things at random when we were in high school only to realize those stupid things were actually some law of physics or chemical reactions. Even the MIT council thought her cluelessness in her intelligence was remarkable." Santana trailed away, gazing at Dr. Snow.
