Now I was in a dark and cold place. Looking around I knew I didn't know where I was. All I knew was that I was in the middle of nowhere. Well, I can't say that. I was in a small town that seemed to be as dead as the deer I saw on the side of the highway I was just at.

There was little light for me to be able to see. But I couldn't see about fifteen feet in front of me. For that fact, it scared me in a very odd way. It wasn't because I was afraid that I was going to get kidnapped in my dream. No it was more of the fact that I was afraid of what will happen next.

I started turning in circles, trying to find any signs saying where this dream is taking place.  There, I just saw a shadow. What seemed to be a shadow of a person, maybe someone who lived near here?

Not sure what make me decide to do this but I started running in the direction of the North Star. Running quickly I came to one light pole. The bulb was flicking off and on. When it stopped I looked around me. There it is again, that shadow. What is it? Who is it?

"Hello?" I asked with a soft voice.

           "Lillian." The voice said.

I froze for several different reasons. For one because this person, this thing knows my name. Two was for the fact that it sounded like a man who was calling me. This voice was familiar. It wasn't like it was my fathers or uncles. No it was something more emotional.

Thinking for a moment of which it could be I realized something. It wasn't the fact that it was someone that was real but someone fake. It was Caleb. He was my imaginary friend when I was a kid. I could see him but no one else could. This was my best friend before I met Wyatt.

"Caleb?" I said with a voice that was surely unsteady. "Caleb is that you?"

Waiting for an answer, I took another step forward. Something inside of me just was about to burst out if it was him. When I was younger, even when I had Wyatt, I still looked for Caleb. I wanted to see him more and more the older I got. Yes that changed over time because he never showed himself. I forgot about him.

"Lillian? How did you get here?" He asked not caring about my question.

Deep breaths I took in. I knew that hint in his voice. Something bad was going to happen. Something very bad.

"Caleb, I don't know." I said as my step began much longer.

Taking in a gasp, I was now standing in front of him. He changed a lot since I have seen him. Yes that has been who knows how many years but still. Now that he was here I couldn't believe my eyes.

He still had those light brown eyes and that untamed night black hair. His skin color seemed darker than once before. The nose on his face grew but it still had that effect on me in which made me think it was the thing that made him, well him.  More I looked at him the most I was surprised. He was taller than me and was a little bit bigger than me.

Looking at me, his eyes got wider. I knew that he could tell we aren't little kids anymore. A part of me wanted to laugh when he looked over my height, weight and had his eyes travel up my body. They never did stop even for a second. Though I do know he tightens his jaw when his eyes were on my torso.

"I'm not sure either," he softly said. The pain in his voice seemed to send chills through my body.

"Caleb, what is going on? I mean," I started. "It can't be that bad, can it?"

He turned away from me, walking in the opposite direction of the light. Can't tell you why I followed him. Maybe it was because every time something bad happen, he was there to hold me and tell me everything was okay. Well that was until he wouldn't show himself anymore.

"Lillian, you shouldn't be here. You should never be here," he said. "You need to leave."

I was confused at that moment. Why would he want me to leave when yet we use to be best friends? Does he hate me now? What happen between us? Does he never want to see me again?

"Caleb you aren't making any sense. Why do I have to go? Aren't you glad to see me?" I asked as my voice cracked.

He sighed. When he turned around, I could see the tears running quietly down his cheek. Within two steps, I was standing in front of him. Slowly I reached up and wiped them off. My hand stayed there at his cheek, waiting for him to push me away. It was to my surprise me when his face seemed to lean against my awaiting hand.

Blowing out all the air that he could, he closed his eyes. I could tell that even with his eyes were closed he was fighting a war within. He wanted me here, I knew that. But then again he wanted me to be far away. Yet I don't understand why he would want me to be away.

"Lillian, you..." he began. "You are in so much danger right now."

I looked at his face as he talked. When Caleb lies about something he cant look me in the eyes. He was telling the truth. Not even for a second did he look away from me as if he was lying. Hell he didn't even  blink.

"Caleb? What do you mean I'm in danger?" I asked.

A very big part of me was terrified of his next words. What if they were seriously words of danger? Words that will have me looking around me every two seconds? Then a thought came to my mind. Was I really ready for any words of pain or worry? Was I ready for the truth?

"Listen. I know that I don't have much time. Lillian you need to find me again. But only when it is safe. There will be something in here," he says as his pointer finger touched the upper mound of my breast. "Something inside of your heart that will say Okay its safe. I can see Caleb. But until you hear that voice you can't search of me in your dreams. You can't. It's not safe."

His eyes were piercing into me and that scared me a lot. Caleb never tries to scare me with his eyes. But right now he was doing exactly that.

"I don't understand," I said. "But I will do what you told me to do."

I removed my hand from his face. As quickly as I felt the warmth of his body, my body went cold. Slowly I took a step backwards. Taking one last look at his face and body, I nodded my head. I knew it was time to go. Or well, at least for now.
