I woke up to a dog licking my face.
"Bear stop.." I said with a laugh.
He barked and did a little hop. Bear was a full blooded german sheppard. His fur was brown, black and cream with a silver strip down the front of him. This dog was mine, I got him from my father two years ago for a birthday present. As a puppy he liked to chew on everything.
"Lillian! Are you awake?" my mother screamed from downstairs.
"Yes. I'll be down in a bit.." I yelled back.
Looking to my left I realized that there was a necklace. Never in my life have I seen this necklace, but it had the symbol that looked so familiar. The symbol it had three round balls with pieces of metal hanging from them as if it was to be continued. Studying the necklace I realize that one of the metal balls were softly glowing. It was the top one.
"Lillian! Wyatt will be here any minute now! Hurry up!"
I glanced over at my clock. Sure enough it read seven fifty a.m. Jumping up in a rush I jogged over to my closet. Oh man I don't even know what to wear today. I should have pick out my outfit last night. I just grabbed a tshirt off one of the hangers along with a tank top. After getting those on I walked over to my dresser and found my new favorite pair of jeans. They had a few holes in them but nothing to big or over doing it.
Walking past the mirror out of the corner of my eye I see what I look like. This is the first time since July that I actually look like myself. My heart ached as the thought of my grandmother creeped ino my mind. Shaking the memories off, I walked to the bathroom.
Ding dong ding dong.. There was the doorbell. It must be Wyatt coming to walk me to school.
"Mom if it's Wyatt tell him I'll be right down!"
As she opens the front door, I was getting ready to put on my eye linear. Well that was before I hear a man say, "Hello. Are you Ariel Knight?"
Quietly as possible, I tip toe into the hallway to get a better view and be able to hear. Peaking around the corner I see an police officer in the door way.
Daniel.. He was here because of Daniel. Great.. Daniel was my brother and the biggest trouble maker in the whole world. Who knows how many times he was been caught stealing, destoryed something, done some drug on the streets..
"Yes, officer I am. What can I do for you?" I hear the smile in her voice though if you really know her, you would also hear the I'm going to kill him.
"Well, I was wondering if you could tell me if your husbands license's plates numbers are F45D FE?" the man ask as he is looking down at his notebook.
"Yes, sir those are his license's plates numbers. Why does that matter?"
Taking in a deep breath I realize what this is about. It's happen again. I have had a dream and it comes true as if I can see the future or something. Wait, this means that my father.. he is gone..
"Um.. I'm sorry. But a red mustang was found last night on Highway 64 in Indiana with those numbers on the plate. A semi trunk hit the car going fifty five on the highway. Both the car and truck iginited, there were no surviors."
My heart stopped. How could I have been right? This isn't suppose to happen. My father should be alive. This dreams shouldn't be coming to life right after I dream them.
"Oh. My." Her voice seemed as if it was about to shatter into a million pieces.
From upstairs I could feel her heart slow begin to break, tears falling from her eyes and the pain that is taking over. I don't know how to put it but I've always been able to feel how someone that matters to me feels. It's as if I take over their emotions, yes of course they still feel them but I feel it along with them. Though it's really creepy how it feels. I can see what is going on in their head and how they are dealing with everything in life.
I must be an alien or something... That's my conculsion I'm an alien.
"If there is any questions you have please don't wait to call. I'm sorry again Mrs. Knight." The officer finished and began walking down the sidewalk to his vehicle.
Feeling my mother's heart break and her legs becoming like noddles as she closes the door and walks over to a chair, I realize she truly loved him. They might have been fighting for the last six months but she truly did love him with everything she had.
Creeping back into my room, I grab my back and purse and begin down the stairs. Five more steps to go I thought as the doorbell rang through the house.
"I got it mother." I yell.
Turning the knob I realize that the doorbell was still going. Who ever was ringing it was in a rush. And I knew for a fact Wyatt wouldn't be in a hurry. Who could it be, I thought as I began to look into the peek hole.
There was a man with jet black hair that was in a ponytail and he had a tattoo on his left shoulder. He also had a scar that went down his face but maybe it was a fake. His fingers curled into a fist and began to pound on the door. It was a rhythm and it sounded so familiar like it was in one of my dreams a long time ago.
My mother rushed into the room, "Lillian, be very quiet." she said in a hushed voice. The pounding continued. She slowly sneaked over to me and grabbed my hand. Her breathing stopped and then in a second she was pulling me behind her as she ran up the stairs. We made a quick turn into my bedroom. Slamming my door shut and locking it she turned back to me.
Her eyes were watery and her face was full of fear. Moment later, I hear the front door be slammed into and a loud crash from downstairs. Keeping my eyes on my door, I leaned in closer to my mother.
"Lillian come." she said as we entered the walk in closet of mine. "You need to do something for me. Get out of here. Channel what you are thinking and get far far away from here. Do you understand me?"
Wait! What in the world is she talking about! How do I get out of here? We were in my closet that only has one way in or out.
"Baby, I know that you are confused but use what is in your heart. Please now close your eyes and picture the place you believe you will be the most happiest." I closed my eyes and a human form started to create infront of me. It was an elderly woman, someone that looks so familiar.
"Mom, I see a woman that seems to be old. Who is she?" I asked.
"Lillian she will explain everything to you. Now please go!"
Before she could say anything else, my body started to spin. I felt light headed and sick to my stomach. What was going on! All around me I could see lights of different colors and then it hit me. Everything around me started to burn like a fire had errupted within the area. The heat was being carved into my skin like it was a tattoo.
Pain ran through me as if I was being stabbed repeatly in my arm. The room started beginning to slow down and I could finally see my surroundings. I was outside of a house, there was a lot of land around me with corn fields to my left or right, and beans to my right or left. I'm so confused right now.
As the world stopped, I tried to walk but failed horribly. Then all of the sudden, the same woman in my thoughts was rushing out of the house. Her face was shocked and crying as she come towards me.
"Oh my dear. Come here sweet child. I wish not to hurt you. I know who you are and you are safe." Her face was wrinkled from her age, eyes were glistening with tears within them. The hair on her head was white near the roots and got to a gray then to a pitch black. She seemed to be harmless and just really caring.
Trying to pick me up wasn't the best idea that she had. It didn't work. Looking down at me with a confused look, then it she had an idea and ran off back into the house. I didn't know what she was doing and I really didn't care.
My thoughts and vision began to fade away as the world of darkness started creeping in on me.. The last thing I saw was a flying horse...
