The girl bows kissing the man hand, then the women’s. “It is a pleasure to finally meet you both. My parents have told me a lot of good things about the both of you.” The girl says with a smile. The man and his wife both nods as if the girl has just conformed something they had been talking about. “No it is my pleasure to finally be in your presence. You have met and gone above my wild expectations, my dear.” Aaron Black comments. The girl answers with another bow. “If your father will grant me permission would you care to dance?” Aaron asks with a smile. The girl looks at her father, and when he nods, Aaron leads the girl onto the dance floor. The crowd parts to let them through, and makes a ring around them. Aaron bows and the girl courtesy. Aaron takes her left hand, in his, and then places his right hand gentle on her right hip. Then off they go, twirling, and twisting around the circle.
Soon they get in a comfortable rhythm, and they turn, twirling through the outside room as if they’ve known each other and danced their whole life together. Soon their dance becomes like the wind, and the girl, feels like she is floating on air. They laugh and smile at each other. Even when the song ends they still continue their dance, with the whole of Ruby Palace watching them in awe. When finally they are too tired to continue, they stop, and end it how they started it. Aaron leads the girl off the dance floor and back to where her parents stand, waiting with Aaron’s wife and the boy. “Well that was surely fun! Do you agree?” Aaron asks the girl.
“Oh, most surely! We must do this again sometime.” The girl replies with a bow. Then she leaves with the boy trailing behind her. “You looked amazing dancing with him.” The boy comments with a smile.
“Thank you! Back he unsettles me for some reason.” The girl says back.
“Well he seems harmless enough. Though I would not want to get on his bad side if I was you.” The boy suggests. The girl shrugs, “He would not dare hurt me, for fear of what my father might do.” Retorts the girl.
“Still I think you should tread carefully with that one.” By now they have made a half round; around the dance floor. Watching and studying the people dancing the girl quietly advice the boy, “Do watch him the rest of the evening well watching me. I do not wish to be surprised by him again.”
“As you wish princess. I am here to serve your orders.” The boy bows. The girl smiles ruefully. “You are always so good to me David. I shall miss you when you leave.” The girl says.
“Do not worry princess, I am not going yet.” The boy tells the girl. “And I am sure the new replacement will be just as good as me.” The boy reassures the girl.
“I hope you're right.” The girl mutters under her breath. As they make their rounds, the girl’s brother still has not appeared. Finally as the Spanish, brass bells ring midnight through the night air, the last of the quest leave. “As it is midnight, and that I am tired, I shall leave on a good note.” The girl bows to her parents.
“Yes, you do look awfully tired my princess. As it is my wife and I agree on the good note.” Aaron agrees with the girl. “Goodnight, my princess.” Aaron bides the girl, bowing, well kissing the top of her hand. The girl nods, in reply, and watches as he takes his leave. For some unknown reason shivers ran down the girl’s back. “I will see you back at the palace.” The girl says to her parents. They nod in reply and the girl heads out of the courtyard, the boy following behind. The trip back was uneventful. The girl beats her parents’ home, so she has to wait outside for them.
At about two o’clock in the morning, the girl is still waiting for her parents. “What is taking my parents so long to come?” The girl whispers to the boy.
