Some really weird things having been happening ever since Natalya and her friends showed up. "What are you thinking about Jack?" Natalya whispers. Heat rises to my face and for once I'm glad to be down in the dark tunnels. "The girl." I answer as truthfully as I can.
"Yeah she was really weird." Natalya agrees. I nod still combing over what the girl had said. "Who do you think she was?" I ask.
"I don't think we'll ever know." Natalya whispers. I stop in my tracks and spun around to face her. "What did you say?" I growl.
"I-I just said 'I don't think we'll ever know'." Natalya whispers shrinking away from me. Something in my head clicks and I brush past her and run back down the tunnel. "Jack, wait!" David calls after me.
“Come on!” I call over my shoulder. Natalya shakes her head and curses. I run as fast as I can until I’m back where the girl had disappeared. I shine my light along the ground looking for something special but not knowing what it is that I’m really looking for. Pounding feet behind me announces that Natalya, David, Lila and Will are turning the corner. "Jack, what are you doing?" Lila asks worried.
"Hmmm. Hold on." I whisper bending down. "That sneaky little bitch!" I yell slapping the ground.
"Whoa. Jack, hold on." Natalya says scared.
"What?" I growl.
"Mind explaining to those of us who have no idea what is going on!" Natalya yells frustrated.
"That girl didn't just disappeared. She went up." I growl, pointing up with my pointer finger.
"Now its my turn 'What?'" Lila snaps.
"I didn't notice before because its so dark down here, but there's a door here." I explain pointing to the wall next to me. I shine my flashlight to the wall, to show them my discovery of a hidden door. "Well, ok." Natalya simply states.
"But how did you know that there was a door here?" David asks. I shrug saying that I had a hunch. I swap my flashlight for my shirt that I was going to burn soon away, and I scrub some of the dirt off the door. When I think that I got off as much dirt as I think that I can be able to get, and I take the flashlight back from Lila. I shine it's light across the door looking for the sign. "Found it!" I whisper excitedly.
"Found what?" Will demands.
"This." I say, shining the light on a blue outline of a triangle with a line going through it and just a little of it sticking out of the triangle. "Is that what I think it is?" Lila asks breathlessly.
"Yup." I answer nodding.
"What is it?" Will demands again.
"Our ticket out of here." I say smiling wide.
"Open it and see what it leads to!" Lila whispers urgently.
"Ok, Ok! I'm opening it, Jesus!" I snap still giddy. I place my hand against the triangle and it lights up neon blue. With a click and a hiss, the door opens a faction. I swing it open the rest of the way, and I look at the other side and gasp. Behind me everyone peers over my shoulder and gasps at what they see.
